About the Trainer : Capt. Lalin De Silva is an academically and professionally qualified Master Mariner. He holds an MSc from Malmo, Sweden and over 5 years command experience on container, general cargo and very large bulk carriers. Was honoured being promoted first Sri Lankan Fellow of the Nautical Institute UK. Capt. De Silva is a UNDP / ILO trained lecturer on container / terminal operations, qualified in P&I and Loss prevention, ISO Lead Auditing, ISM , Marine surveys. Over 15 years operational knowledge by working with large European container operator in Africa / Asia etc and the with the largest container shipping agency in Sri Lanka at that time.
