Understanding the mission + vision of NVEEE and how to articulate it to others in :30 sec. 2. Review expectations, and responsibilities of a Peace Ambassador in Training (PAT). 3. Discovering what type of leader you want to become, and how you want people to relate to you now and remember you later. Creating a :30 pitch for your future plans. Training 2 Saturday 10:00 - 2:00 February 20 | Broward February 27 | Miami-Dade Objective: Building leadership and communication skills 1. Bullying vs conflict. Conflict resolution skills. 2. Body Image and building positive self esteem 3. Leadership training + Character building. 4. Active listening training + interview prep & role play Training 3 Saturday 10:00 - 2:00 March 19 | Broward March 26 | Miami-Dade Objective: Learning about your fears and how to face them head on. Building resiliency in the face of adversity 1. Problem solving and interpersonal skills 2. Learning to deal with difficult resistant people 3. Learning patience + how to keep your cool in high stress situations. Stepping out of comfort zones. 4. Learning when to let go. Being friends with people who are really frenemies. Training 4 Saturday 10:00 - 2:00 April 16 | Broward April 23 | Miami-Dade Objective: Practice presenting workshops. 1. How to talk to others about suicide and learn warning signs someone may be self harming. 2. Practice delivering NVEEE’s “Be Upstanding” Bullying Prevention Workshops PEACE AMBASSADOR LEADERSHIP TRAINING BECOME A TRAINED BULLYING & SUICIDE PREVENTION ADVOCATE RSVP FOR SPRING, SUMMER, or FALL TRAINING | 16 Hrs | 1 SATURDAY PER MONTH 10AM - 2PM 1480 S.W 9th Ave Ft. Participate in monthly outings. 9. Problem solving and interpersonal skills 10. Learn how to market yourself to employers and Universities. Eligibility + Requirements. 1. 14-19 years old 2. Must be in good academic standing with low absentee rates 3. Home schooling is a plus 4. Singers who meet eligibility requirements are a huge plus 5. Complete all 16 hrs of trainings.
