Our portfolio spans masterplanning, new build and refurbishment, all working directly with different healthcare providers. We research current and emerging best practice to enhance a project’s aspirations and then develop designs to suit the users; staff, patients and visitors, whatever part of the healthcare portfolio we work on.

We thrive on projects with multiple stakeholders with high levels of public interest and are known for our ‘getting on’ attitude, whilst leading the design direction. We work hard to engage with all stakeholders, whether internal or external, to create new healthcare facilities that work for all.

Designing with a difference

We combine technical know-how, practical planning and ideas which together improves the user experience. From the start, clients can visualise their new environments via walk throughs, plans and 3D’s, topped and tailed with empathy and flair.

Hunters healthcare has over 15 years of experience. The team delivers a wide range of projects covering refurbishments, new build and estate masterplans. We have architects, designers, technical experts, visualisers and strong project management, to ensure that the project runs smoothly.

The practical needs can be different, but the aspirations are often the same, with human-centric spaces to aid efficient delivery of healthcare, develop smooth recovery and provide sympathetic spaces which value; patients, relatives, nursing staff and consultants. 02. Outpatients & DiagnosticsStrong space planning, clear wayfinding and a welcoming experience are fundamental to help guide patients to their destination. Uplifting waiting rooms and easy to reach consulting rooms extend the positive journey. We have designed and built a range of facilities for the NHS and private hospitals including sexual health clinics, cancer units, opthamology and paediatric clinics.

Emergency & TheatresAs emergency rooms and theatres experience more pressure from patient volumes, our designs focus on improving patient and staff flows, delivering a clear customer journey through logical sequencing of spaces, prominent information and signage to create happier, more peaceful environments in assessment and treatment areas. We have designed spaces for medical schools, NHS trusts and private companies mixing commercial aspirations with practical solutions. 05. Mental Health & DementiaOur team has specialist design experience in dementia and mental health, creating award-winning internationally recognised environments. We design homes and wards with the users considering security, colour palettes, textures, light, care and facilities to help those with mental health issues recover and those with dementia experience comfortable, end of life care. Dignity, compassion and familiarity are woven into our architecture so residents can have a more positive emotional and physical experience.
