WHY SHOULD WE THINK ABOUTAN ELETRIC CAR

• As we know that the fossil fuels are reducing in amount day by day and OIL COMPANIES in the up coming future may not be able satisfy the needs, keeping that in mind we must step ahead.

• As a responsile citizen we must think about an SOURCE OF ENERGY which is CHEAPER AND EASILY AVAILABLE.

Page 3: Electric car

WHAT SHOULD BE THE SOURCE OFENERGY

• Electricity is the suitable source of energy which is easily available and is cheaper when compared

to petrol&diesel which are

of scarce means.

Page 4: Electric car

IMPORTANCE

* By using domestically-generated electricity rather than relying on foreign oil,INDIA can become more independent nation and developing such

kind of cars would increase the country's reputation in the field of science and technology and also increases the economy.

Page 5: Electric car

WHAT IS AN ELECTRIC CAR

• It is an automobile vehicle which runs completely on electricity and there are no

emission of gases like that of a normal car and there working principle is very simple in nature rather than complex and also plays a key role in preventing environmental degradation.

Page 6: Electric car

ADVANTAGES OF AN ELECTRIC CAR

• Fuel efficiency is greatly increased.

• Emissions are greatly reduced.

• Dependency on fossil fuels can be reduced.

• Environmental pollution will be reduced to

a greater extent and global warming will also be reduced.

Page 7: Electric car

DISADVANTAGES OF AN ELECTRIC CAR

* Batteries need to be charged and disposal needs to be carefully managed.

* Cars cannot be used when batteries are being discharged and longer distances cannot be covered.

Page 8: Electric car

WHAT IS THE PROBLEM WITH A NORMAL CAR

• Petrol and diesel are scarce resources.

• Heavy reliance on imports.• Creates smog and ozone in big

cities• Create green house gases like

carbon monoxide and other toxic gases.

Page 9: Electric car

SO WE NEED A CAR WHICH RUNS COMPLETELY ON ELECTRICITY

• One of the best example is TESLA.

It is an american company established in the year 2003 and is famous for producing cars running completely on electricity.

And its famous car is "MODEL S"

SPECIFICATIONS OF MODEL S *Gives a range of 300 MILES at a SPEED OF 55MPH .

*To go 150 MILES it takes 4HR43MIN of charging time.

*Takes 5.6 sec of time to reach a speed of 100KPH.

MODEL S ENGINE

Working principle: when electricityis supplied the rotor in the motor surrounded by magnetic coil rotates which inturn rotates another shaft to which wheels are connected.

Page 15: Electric car

ADVANTEGES OF MODEL S

• Engine size is very small.• Larger trunk space and more leg room.• No requirement of transmission line

system there by reducing the complexity in design.

IT IS 1OO PERCENT ECOFREINDLY CAR ANS DOES NOT EMITS ANY GASES WHICH ARE HARMFUL FOR THE ENVIRONMENT

CONCLUSION

• From this we can say that cars running on electricity make a lot of difference and are far-far better in preventing

environmental degradation than that of cars running on diesel&petrol, they also improve driving experience as they donot have any S.I or C.I engine which make noise and turbulance to the driver.
