Effects of climate change

Climate change affects us all – but those hit first and hardest

are people living in poverty. Already, 150,000 people die each year

from the effects of climate change, almost all in developing countries.

Climate change is an issue of justice. While the rich world consumes

far more of the Earth’s resources, poor communities bear the brunt

of extreme weather.

Climate change threatens to reverse

any progress towards ending poverty.
