Advantages:

It’s easy for such speaker to maintain aneye contact with the audiencethroughout the presentation.

MemorizationMany professionals strongly express thatthis mode is not practically effective.

Disadvantages:

There is no need to learn every word & lineby rote.

After thorough preparation you'respeaking while thinking; audience willfind it spontaneous.

Impromptu Impromptu is the shortest speech of alland mostly prepared with a short notice.

For example:

Introducing an event or a dignitary. Formal welcome address. Vote of thanks. In imrpomptu speech the spontaneity andcommand over casual language is used.
