Czech RepublicCzech Republic is quite new country – it was estabilished on 1st January 1993. We used to be part of Czechoslovakia before that.Our country is situated in the heart of Europe. Czech people are well known for their love to typical Czech beverage – beer. Czech Republic is full of awesome nature and historic places as you will soon learn on your own.

Arrival to Czech RepublicYou have two options how to get here:• 8th of September – and participate in our awesome Prague trip.• 10th of September – to come directly to Hradec Králové

For both of these options you need to come to Prague firstly. You can use plane to Václav Havel’s airport or to main train station.

PresentationYour presentations are the most key point of your staying here in Czech Republic.We need you to start work on them as soon as possible and send us your first draft till 31st of August. You will of course have some time to prepare during the first week, but it is not possible to maintain it whole.PS: Don’t count with the internet in schools – rather prepare everything offline.

Job descriptionDuring your stay in Czech Republic, you should present and represent your country and your culture to Czech children. You will have 90 minutes to spend them with one class of children between 9 and 17 years.

What to bring?There is couple of things that you need to bring for the project. First of them is definitely good mood and enthusiasm. Things for Global Village (next slide) and your national flag. We also recommend you to bring your own laptop for work.

Global VillageGlobal Village is special day every week, when you are not presenting, but you are all together at your stands and are showing children your typical national things. There is ussualy lot of taking pictures with children, dancing, singing, playing games and tasting some delicious snacks. Please DO NOT bring any alcohol or other drugs to school.

AccomodationDuring your Prague trip and first week you will be accomodated all together. Accodomation of next weeks is in the charge of schools. Some weeks you will be accomodated in host families, some together in hostels or in families of teachers.PS: Families ussualy dont have a problem with helping you with laundry.

Prague tripAdam and Týna are preparing really awesome trip around the most beautiful town in the world. They will send you their booklet soon.

Trip to mountainsOur TEEs are usually spending their weekends abroad, but if you will be willing to go, we offer you trip for the highest Czech mountain Sněžka. It is not so high (1602 m) and it is beatable even in sandals.

AIESEC Hradec KrálovéWe are quite small LC (here we are with our sister LC) with a really big heart and effort of delivering quality and lifechanging experiences during all what we do. We will be pleasured if you will be one of us.

Local Training ConferenceLocal Training Conference is our Fall Conference with our new members and we will be really happy if you join us for this special event. It takes time on the last weekend of project 17-19th of October. There will be programm prepared for you as byebye party for all of you.

Internal Global VillageWe mentioned before, that there is no place for alcohol in the school. But we would also like to get to know your culture more, so there will be one special „Internal“ Global Village for AIESECers, where you should bring some of your typical alcohol. This Global Village will také place on our Local Training Conference.

Public Global VillageYour project will take place during one of our most important recruitment time. We are looking for new members and we would like to show them you – results of our work and hopefully our new friends. For those who will be interested into new Czech friends in our age, there will be Public Global Village + party for university students one afternoon.
