Sunday, October 22 • 1:00pm-4:00pm • The Chesed Committee is pleased to present a visit to the Chihuly Exhibit at the New York Botanical Gardens. Join us as we enjoy together breathtaking works of art that dazzle with color, light and form in a privately guided tour. Artworks by the world-renowned Dale Chihuly are on view in his first major garden exhibition in New York in over ten years. On exhibit are more than 20 installations including drawings and early works that reveal the evolution and development of Chihuly’s artistic process. Set within NYBG’s landmark landscape and buildings,

the Garden’s dramatic vistas become living canvases showcasing Chihuly’s signature organic shapes in brilliant colors. Buses will leave from Lincoln Square Synagogue promptly at 1:00pm. Shabbat, November 4 • Annual LSS Hospitality Shabbaton This is one of our shul's most anticipated events, and we hope that every member will participate -- just sign up to share a meal, as a guest or as a host, with at least one co-member with whom you haven't broken bread before. More information to follow in the coming weeks.

Tuesday, November 7 • 5:00pm-7:00pm• Mount Sinai will be coming to administer flu shots. This will take place right outside the Main Sanctuary.

Julia Baruch serves as the Yoetzet Halacha at Congregation Kehilath Jeshurun and West Side Institutional Synagogue in addition to serving us at LSS. She studied at the Stella K. Abraham Beit Midrash for Women – Migdal Oz for one year after attending the Ramaz Upper School. Julia graduated from Columbia University cum laude with a B.A. in Psychology. She then graduated from Nishmat’s Miriam Glaubach Center’s U.S. Yoatzot Halacha Fellows Program. Julia worked as a research assistant at Columbia University Medical Center’s Taub Institute for Research on Alzheimer’s and the Aging Brain and she plans to pursue a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology. She grew up in Englewood, NJ and currently lives on the Upper West Side with her husband, Da-vid, and son, Jacob. E-mail at [email protected].
