Registered Program Descriptions *Triple P-Seminar Series*- (for parents/caregivers with children, 1- 6 years old ) 3 session program with individual topic- 3990 14

Markham Triple P is a unique, multilevel family program for the treatment and prevention of behavioural and emotional problems in children. This program is currently full.

*Infant Massage*-(for parents/caregivers with infants, birth to 8 months old) 5 week program- 3990 14th

Avenue, Markham Infant Massage is a great way to bond with your baby while learning the ways your baby communities with you. Come and discover the many benefits of a loving touch, meet other parents and gain confidence in responding to your baby’s cues. To register, please contact Ivy at April 26

*Journey To Kindergarten* (for parents/caregivers with children who start kindergarten in September, 2019) 5 week program- Parkland Early Learning and Family Centre This program has been developed for both parents and their children. The sessions provide parents with information about what they can do to help their child develop learning readiness skills, and ultimately succeed in school. This program is currently full.

*Fun with Learning* (for parents/caregivers with children 2 to 6 years old) – Ellen FairClough Public School and Cedarwood Public School This program provides families and their children with the opportunities to learn while they play. Activities include pre-reading, math concepts, loose parts, games, puzzles, creative and sensory activities. Please register in person at our Mobile, program will be offered at Ellen FairClough Public School on Monday morning 9:15- 10:45 Program will be offered at Cedarwood Public School on Thursday morning 9:15 – 10:45

Activities include pre-reading, math concepts, loose parts, games, puzzles, creative and sensory activities. Babies in Playland – Birth to 18 months Parents/caregivers and babies participate together in early learning activities that help to stimulate cognitive, physical and social development. Information on early childhood development will be available.

Fun with Learning - 2 to 6 years This program provides families and their children with the opportunities to learn while they play. Activities include pre-reading, math concepts, loose parts, games, puzzles, creative and sensory activities.

Singable Stories for Babies – Birth to 18 months This program focuses on a variety of story-telling methods, story songs, story-telling with props, and reading from a book. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to try these different methods at home.

Family Time – Birth to 6 years Family Time is for parents/caregivers and their children to meet others and play interactively in an early learning environment. The program includes; arts and crafts, music, pre-reading, and math concepts.

Tot Stop – 18 months to 36 months This program focuses on toddler development through play. Parents/caregivers engage in activities with their children including, arts and crafts, sensory activities, songs and rhymes.

Open Door – Birth to 6 years Come and explore our centre and the many services and resources available to you. Families are welcome to come and play with their children when regular programs are not being offered.

Messy Play – 18 months to 6 years This program focuses on exploring our five senses through a variety of multi-sensorial activities. Sensory experiences stimulate children and give them new information about the world.

Parenting Information and Referrals Staff members are available to meet individually with families to

discuss any concerns and to provide information on child development or community resources.

Infant Action – 3 months to 12 months This program focuses on developing your infant’s large motor skill. A variety of equipment, action songs and rhymes are used to promote

this development.
