*Infant Massage*-(for parents/caregivers with infants from birth to 8 months old) 5 week program- 3990 14

Infant Massage is a great way to bond with your baby while learning the ways your baby communities with you. Come and discover the many benefits of a loving touch, meet other parents and gain confidence in responding to your baby’s cues. To register, please contact Marcy at 2:30pm on September 3

rd at (905) 479-0002, this program will be offered on Tuesday from September 10

th to

October 8th

(2:30-4:00pm).

*Sing & Sign * (for Parents and caregivers with infants from birth to 12 months old) 4 week program – Parkland Early Learning and Family Centre This program is an introduction to American Sign Language for Hearing infants. The sessions use songs and games as a tool, to include in everyday routines. It is an opportunity to bond with your baby and reduce frustration for your baby and you. To register, please contact Ivy at 2:30pm on August 30

th at (905) 479-0002, this program will be offered on Wednesday from September 11

th to

October 2nd

(9:15-10:45am).

*Parent Child Mother Goose Program* (for parents/caregivers with Infants from birth to 18 months old) 8 week program – 3990 14th

Avenue, Markham A group experience for parents/caregivers and their infants, ages birth -18 months, focusing on the pleasure and power of using rhymes, songs, and stories together. To register, please contact Flor at 2:30pm on September 5

th at (905) 479-0002, this program will be offered on Thursday from September 12

th to

October 31st (2:30-4:00pm).

*Bounce, Back & Thrive* (for Parents/caregivers who have children from 1 - 6 years old ) 10 week program- 3990 14th

Avenue, Markham This program teaches parents and caregivers about coping with stress. Participants learn skills to help themselves and their children feel less stressed and more hopeful about the future. Limited child-minding space is available. To register, please contact (905) 479-0002, this program will be offered on Friday from October 4

th – December 13

th ( 9:30-11:30am), there is no

class on October 11t . This program will be offered in Mandarin and Cantonese.

Babies in Playland – Birth to 18 months Parents/caregivers and babies participate together in early learning activities that help to stimulate cognitive, physical and social development. Information on early childhood development will be available.

Learning Together- 2 to 6 years This program engages adults and children to learn and explore literacy, mathematics, science and motor skills together. This program allows for prediction, experimentation and hands on exploration through a variety of learning experiences

Singable Stories for Babies – Birth to 18 months This program focuses on a variety of story-telling methods, story songs, story-telling with props, and reading from a book. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to try these different methods at home.

Family Time – Birth to 6 years Family Time is for parents/caregivers and their children to meet others and play interactively in an early learning environment. The program includes; arts and crafts, music, pre-reading, and math concepts.

Infant Action – 3 months to 12 months This program focuses on developing your infant’s large motor skill. A variety of equipment, action songs and rhymes are used to promote

this development.

Open Door – Birth to 6 years Come and explore our centre and the many services and resources available to you. Families are welcome to come and play with their

children when regular programs are not being offered.

Tot Stop – 18 months to 36 months This program focuses on toddler development through play. Parents/caregivers engage in activities with their children including, arts and crafts, sensory activities, songs and rhymes.

Parenting Information and Referrals Staff members are available to meet individually with families to discuss any concerns and to provide information on child development or community resources.

Messy Play – 18 months to 6 years This program focuses on exploring our five senses through a variety of multi-sensorial activities. Sensory experiences stimulate children and give them new information about the world.
