DR. PRASAD KILARU Bio

Dr. Prasad Kilaru completed his medical degree in one of the most elite schools in India- Guntur Medical College. Subsequently, he went on to finish a five-year general surgery training at Bay State Medical Center affiliated with Tufts University in Boston and then completed a two-year plastic surgery residency at the University of Southern California. During this training he had rotations at the Los Angeles County Medical Center, City of Hope Medical Center as well as several other elite Plastic Surgery institutions in Southern California. He then went on to complete a hand surgery and microsurgery fellowship at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute and the University of Southern California. Because of his extensive and rigorous training, Dr. Kilaru has become a renowned name in the Bay Area to deliver outstandingly high quality wound care services to patients that have a chronic non-healing wound. In 2004, Dr. Kilaru was nominated as the Medical Director at Washington Center for Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine where he oversees medical treatment protocols and advanced clinical algorithms to maintain the highest quality outcomes for patients and to provide the latest technological advancements in the wound care industry.

Dr. Kilaru has resided in Fremont, California since 2001 and has been the Chairman of the Department of Surgery and has been the Chairman of the Quality and Resource Management Committee for the last four years. Additionally, he has been a member of the Medical Executive Committee during that time as well. Dr. Kilaru believes in providing the best care possible to all of his patients. He abides by the standard of treating every patient like he would his own family member.
