Plaucheville Elementary School will meet the Fundamental Practice Level or above in the critical element of Instruction (Engagement).

NEEDS ASSESSMENT•In 2009-2010, PES attained a score of 96% in student

engagement as rated by JBHM Walkthroughs.

•Engagement was simply defined as students participating in the instructional lesson.

•Engagement will now be defined as a student who is actively engaged. Levels of engagement will be determined by PES’

standardized rating scale.

•Evidence of implementation of the WBL strategies will be monitored.

Implementation Strategies 2010-11

Plaucheville Elementary staff will attend the Whole Brain Learning Conference in June, 2010. Teachers will be offered material and resource scholarships to attend.

The teachers of Plaucheville Elementary will plan and implement WBL school wide. Evidence and degree of implementation will be monitored through building

walkthroughs.

Student engagement expectation levels will be set and monitored by the school’s evaluation team.

STEM Objective:

Students will participate in project based learning activities in math and science and will be evaluated based upon a district adopted evaluation.

Academic Goal 2:Plaucheville Elementary School will meet the Fundamental Practice Level or above in the critical element of Enrichment (Response to Intervention).

Implementation Strategies 2010-11

• Plaucheville Elementary will study Best Practices in Response to Intervention programs.

Plaucheville Elementary Grade Level Teachers in Grades 3-6 will develop an enhanced Response to

Intervention Program to be implemented in the 2010-2011 school year.

Students will be ability grouped based upon a standardized assessment instrument, gathering baseline data and assessing growth at regular

intervals.

Implementation Strategies 2010-11Grade 3

Once a lesson has been taught in whole group, grade 3 students will be

tested through EAGLE and then divided into groups and given tasks to enhance their individual ability levels.

Enrichment students will utilize Study Island beginning in the third six weeks

to help them master GLE concepts.

• Grade Level 4 will utilize a Study Island pretest and corresponding Grade 3 iLEAP scores to determine groups. Students will be evaluated weekly by GLE.

Students will be grouped every week according to their skills in a particular GLE.

Title I paraprofessionals will be utilized during 4th grade’s RTI timeslots for Enrichment groups utilizing Study Island and Math

Common Core.

Implementation Strategies 2010-11Grade 5

Fifth grade students are divided into four groups based upon past performance both on standardized assessments as well as classroom performance. Performance will be monitored every 2 weeks.

Students were subdivided into four groups including an Enrichment group and other Tier groups.

Enrichment students utilize Study Island and Math Common Core.

Fifth grade will utilize their last 30 minutes daily to run the RTI/Enrichment program with all students

attending ELA and Math intervention.

Grade level 6 will utilize the last 15 minutes of each class daily to run the RTI program.

Students were divided into four groups. Enrichment students utilize Study Island and Math Common Core to master math

GLEs.

Student performance is tracked utilizing tracking chart daily.
