SEISMIC BRACING

OVERVIEW: Acme has a full line of seismic bracing products for the mechanical, plumbing, and electrical industries.

Our fast attach and break off style seismic bracing components offer labor savings on installation compared with other standard seismic bracing systems. Our versatile line offers both rigid & cable

bracing systems to satisfy your specific project requirements.

RIGID BRACING: With fewer required attachment points, our rigid bracing attachments dramatically reduce installation

time as well as reducing the number of stress points on the structure itself. It also reduces the opportunity for collision with other systems, making coordination using the BIM process easier.

CABLE BRACING: Cable braces are often required on pipe and duct runs where vibration isolation is installed or when the length of braces would make rigid options either impractical or impossible.




SEISMIC BRACING SERVICES PROJECT CONSULTING: Acme can assist with training estimators and project managers on how to budget seismic

bracing. Acme is available to consult during project development to determine the most

economical methods to design and execute with seismic bracing in mind.

PROJECT ESTIMATING: Send us your plans and specifications and we will provide a comprehensive quote for seismic bracing materials and engineering.

ENGINEERING: All packages include engineered layouts, details, and calculations stamped by a licensed Professional or Structural Engineer, as required.

CODE COMPLIANCE: Acme provides engineering and products that are in code compliance anywhere in the United

States.

BIM MODELING: Acme offers full 3D modeling/BIM services, all bracing added and coordinated into your

building model.

and all-inclusive support packages required on a multitude of project types. These include, but are not limited to:

By utilizing our pipe support experts in all fields we can design,

engineer, and fabricate pipe supports; as well as submit an engineered design package for pipe supports complete with

support layout, support details, seismic calculations, and support summary. Common scope of supply includes pipe

supports, anchors, wall sleeves, seismic bracing for hung pipe,

FRP “FA” supports, and in some cases miscellaneous steel fabrications in all shapes, sizes, and finishes; including SS316,

SS304, FRP, EG and HDG.

Supports are fabricated in our 20,000 square foot facility in

Sacramento, CA and can meet most domestic manufacturing requirements on your project.

Acme Construction Supply has extensive capabilities for providing complete support design and supply packages, and an extensive project management capability, from project takeoff/bid to project close/final delivery. These projects range in size

from the largest multi-hundred million dollar water and wastewater treatment facilities to the smallest pump stations. We apply

Complete support packages often include large and small bore support requirements consisting of stainless steel (304 and

316), hot dip galvanized, plain finish, painted, and FRP materials. All support requirements are supplied from strut, hangers,

and anchors, to large fabricated steel structures, pipe bridges, and all types of steel pipe supports. Nothing is too exotic. No project is too big or too small.




STRUT DESIGN

OVERVIEW: Acme has been a trusted name in strut framing products for many years, supplying contractors with materials and design

services. Our large inventories, coupled with extensive knowledge, make us a trusted name in all things strut. The Technical

Sales team offers many value added services. We are fluent in structural design, and we can offer professional engineered

stamped drawings and calculations. Our fabrication capabilities allow us to build assemblies designed by our clients or our

team. Other services include pre-cut materials, bundling, and subassemblies of materials shipped directly to you. Our design

team can provide shop/erection drawings for any package and 3D BIM modeling, clash detection, and resolution for

coordinated projects.

STRUT DESIGN: We can take a concept or a sketch and design a system that will work efficiently, effectively, and with readily available products.

ENGINEERING: All packages can include stamped structural engineering designs, and calculations; code compliant anywhere in the United States.

3D MODELING: Acme offers full BIM modeling, all material added and coordinated into your building model.

VALUE ENGINEERING: Acme works hard to reduce your material and labor burden with time saving products and

labor saving designs. Our experience and inventory often lets us change parts to more

economical alternatives.

INSTALLATION TRAINING: Acme will coordinate pre-construction meetings to train and brief your installers.

CRUSH-RESISTANT INSULATION

Model "CW" insulated support: Originally designed for use in wet lag applications. We

continue to provide this model for use in wet lag situations and per specification. Ask for standard dimensions and metal gauges. The minimum length for our "CW" insert is

6". This model is also available with double metal "CWX", and with load bearing plates, model "CWXR".

Model "HWXR/CWXR" insulated support: Ask for standard dimensions and metal

gauges. Special order insulation lengths and metal gauges are available upon request. This model comes with double sheet metal and rolled plates. Available in hot and cold

models.

In addition, CalDyn has done extensive work with OSHPD, Office of Statewide Health

Planning and Development and other governmental agencies to obtain pre-approvals of innovative and effective products for the vibration-isolation & seismic restraint industry.

Engineering for Seismic Anchorage

We interpret and comply with IBC, CBC (non-OSHPD), and CBC (OSHPD)

building codes in regards to Statics Analysis (project specific calculation

verifying the adequacy of the restraint and its anchorage) vs. Dynamic Analysis (Shake Table Testing).

We select the proper CalDyn vibration isolator (seismic / wind) restraints

based on project specifications and constraints.

We select the proper anchor (seismic anchorage calculation) to meet code

requirements, existing/design and conditions, and project specifications.




PREASSEMBLED FITTINGS Preassembled fittings allow quicker

installation by combining bolts and channel

nuts in fittings, minimizing the number of

parts to handle and inventory

CUT STRUT We can cut to length any strut size or finish,

cleaning and applying the appropriate touch up

treatment to the ends with highly accurate cuts

at production levels.

TRAPEZES Trapezes can be ordered assembled,

or cut and tagged for field assembly

ASSEMBLED MODULES We can preassemble and ship modules,

Acme Construction Supply offers structural engineering covering many fields, specifically seismic restraint systems designed to insure the continuing function of plumbing, mechanical, and electrical systems, during, and after a seismic event. Projects

Our Engineering group has a combined over 100 years of structural seismic engineering experience. We stay updated on
