LAST WEEK – March 8, 2013 – Piano for a Richer Life
Jim Foster with Foster Family Music gave a moving presenta=on about the
“Piano for a Richer Life” celebra=on that takes place in April at North Park Mall,
Davenport. This features over 400 piano students and teachers at three loca-
=ons at the mall. Free will dona=ons are taken all weekend and given directly
to the Ronald McDonald House at University of Iowa hospitals. Last year this
event collected over $34,000. Lynn Kroeger a+ended with Jim. She is one of
the local teachers that help to organize the event.
Other guests that a+ended on Friday were Tom Fedje, Davenport Rotarian, Trisha Carter, daughter of Glenn
Eakes, Anne+e Tank, guest of Ken Tank and Rob Kinsey and Chris Fahey, guests of Bill Tubbs. Carol Bordner was
the pianist and Jim Smith was the sergeant and collected $91 in fines.
Paul Seelau organized an Interact Club at the North Scott Junior High School last school year, and con-tinues to hold meetings this year. This is a group of students who desire to serve others and learn about Service above Self. They meet on Friday mornings from 7:50 to 8:20 A.M. The interest changes from quarter to quarter, as students are involved in other sports or activities, which meet at the same time. Last quarter Paul had 15 boys & 2 girls. He expects a totally different group when meetings resume on March 22. In November & December, the group collected gently used clothing for people in need. In January & February, they collected $140 which they gave to the “Down by the Creek” animal rescue shelter in Long Grove. The next project will be determined by the group in early April. MANY THANKS to Paul as he continues to work with these students!

The 4 Way Test
Of the things we THINK SAY or DO
1. Is it the TRUTH? 2. Is it FAIR to all concerned? 3. Will it build GOOD WILL and BETTER FRIEND-
