ACHIEVMENTS AND INTERESTS

Throughout my time at Northbrook College in Worthing I recorded 7 demos/EPs for local bands outside of my coursework so as to make full use of the college facilities. Whilst studying for my degree I also worked on 2 of my own musical projects; Inarchy and Hollis Mason. I independently released 3 CDs for these projects. I wrote, performed, produced, engineered, mastered and managed all of these projects. I was solely in charge of organizing every rehearsal, studio session, gig booking, online promotion and hiring and coordination of musicians. These experiences have given me very strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

I also participated in several live events for Northbrook College acting as head front of house sound engineer in the college’s theatre, as well as additional live work for friends bands at Brighton’s Concorde 2. I am still involved in recording, writing and performing music working in a freelance capacity mainly from home. I hope one day to open my own recording studio.

My name is (name) and I have been studying media for 7 years, researching and analysing media forms. I’ve gone from studying standard media in school through to digital media in university, digital media really interested me as I feel I am a creative person and love making projects. During my foundation course I was fortunate enough to be taught by Angie Taylor, Angie is a professional motion graphics designer that has written books for Adobe. Angie helped me find my feet in motion graphics and film editing. Through my B.A course I developed a passion for film making, I’ve always been into making films, as a hobby I skateboard and have always been filming and editing small movies of me and my friends. Skateboarding films have a unique style in which they tell the story. I have an artistic nature I’m a illustrator, I like to design small hand drawn characters, as well I am a photographer I really like to shoot in 35mm format also I love to take Polaroid pictures, I like to think that I have a keen eye, if I see something I like I try to capture it in some format that I can keep.
