Analysis of the conjuring In frame one it shows a long shot of two old fashioned black and white photographs with the name of the family overlapped . It shows a couple in the first and in the other is shows a lady with four children , this is to show the transformation between their relationship and how it has progressed but also has a cliff hanger of where has the husband gone ? The name of the family has been edited over the top to overlap the pictures .this is to give us a idea of who they are . In frame two it shows a low contrast ,long shot of a house .from a distance you can see a white figure standing at the door , this creates suspense because it causes us to start wondering what this person is doing in the house but is it also foreshadowing the rest of the film .In frame three it shows a article from a news paper , the typography tells me the news paper is for the wealthier class . The subheading in the article says “ghost-hunters gives lecture here” this tell us that the film could be based around ghosts .In frame four , it shows a different news article . It has been edited so that the writing overlays the skull . In the title it says “small town” this could be foreshadowing that the film could be based with in a small community or town .In frame five it shows a third article showing little artefacts on shelves and the titles says “haunted artifacts museum” this tells us that the film may have something to do with a possessed figure and it may have something to do with this museum . The era of this news paper could be set in the 1900’s , this is because of the black and white newspaper . However it could be a copy.
