Showing the same consistency, the names of the families that will be involved within the film are mentioned, with a image of the character available to see, this introduces the main characters to the audience. Throughout the title sequence a narrative is present, a figures hands are seen changing clippings of old newspaper articles onto a projector. This alone creates the enigma as to who the character behind this. With the use of a dolls face being projected onto the screen suddenly helps the producers yet again give a sense of horror to the title sequence, due to it being shown in black and white it doesn’t reveal to much and the audience are left wanting to know why the doll is present and how it will be involved with the movie they are going to be watching. With the eerie soundtrack playing in the background whilst this image is being shown creates tension and can lead to the audience realising that the rating of the film is 18+ due to the content and graphical images being shown throughout.

The use of showing the house that will be involved throughout the process of the film, once again portrays a sense of mystery and suspense. Due to the black and white effect still being used throughout the sequence, consistency is kept and it flows. The black and white effect also helps to portray a sense of horror to the audience. In this title sequence, we start to get an image as to what certificate rating the film may be shown as, in this case 18+. It an enigma and leads to the audience wondering why the house will be involved. The camera shot within the sequence is a low angle shot towards the house, making it seem bigger and taller that what it is, giving it a sense of power and demand. Through out the opening sequence there is a variation of close ups of newspaper clippings which creates the enigma for the narrative. This image alone within the title sequences, creates an enigma as to why all of the characters faces apart from one girl is covered. It may lead the audience into wondering why they are choosing not to show who they are, once again creating a sense of mystery. This allows the audience to create there own perspective as to what they believe is the reasoning behind this.

The music throughout the title sequence helps to create a sense of tension, tying in well with the horror/thriller genre the producers are creating through the title sequence. It builds up tension for the audience and also allows the establishment of the genre to be made clearer.
