SCOUTS AT CONCORDIA

SCOUTS TEACHES LEADERSHIP & STRENGTH

Since 2012, the Concordia campus has been a proud host of the citywide Boy, Cub, and Girl Scouts of Hanoi. These groups are led by parents from the community with the goal of fostering young boys and girls to become model citizens and strong leaders through a variety of bi-weekly activities.

Most recently, some of our scouts have spent time testing their physical limits though dragon boating (Cub Scouts) and learning physical training exercises from the US Embassy Marines (Girl Scouts).

To learn more about scouts and how you can get involved in scouting, email parent leaders below:Girl Scouts (all ages): [email protected] Cub Scouts (Grade 1-5): [email protected] Scouts (Grade 6- 18 yrs): hanoiboyscouts@gmail.

WESTERN ASSOCIATION OF SCHOOLS AND COL-LEGES (WASC) COMES TO CONCORDIA HANOI

The first week of March, Concordia Hanoi will have a few visitors on campus from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). For the past several years, Concordia Hanoi has been undergoing a “self-study” and defining who we want to be as a organization, our goals, and what matters the most to us as a school. The WASC team is here to help us with this growth and will be spending time with teachers, students, parents, and other members of the Concordia community to see that we are indeed growing in the areas that we had hoped we would.

The main purposes of the WASC review is to:1. Foster improvement of the school’s programs and operations to support student learning;2. Validate the integrity of a school’s program and student transcripts;3. Assure a school community that the school’s purposes are appropriate and being accomplished through a viable educational program;4. A way to manage change through regular assessment, planning, implementing, monitoring and reassessment.

If you are on campus this month while the WASC team is present, make sure to say hello and welcome our visitors to the school.

WHAT AN INTERNATIONAL DAY!

CONCORDIA INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL 2015

This year our Concordia parents really outdid themselves with cultural sharing activities that ranged from authentic food tasting, traditional music, national games, and even geography and country information. Our Thai mothers started off the festival with a typical dance is done throughout Thailand and the day just kept going while students from preschool to high school had a chance to go from country table to country table and get to know more about the diverse nationalities at Concordia. A huge THANK YOU to all parents involved and for all your hard work to make this such a special day!
