Complete List of Indian Sports Awards

When it comes to awards and sports than we have many different field of sports as well as we

have awards for that too. In India everyone is free to play their choice of sports and make it as

 profession, but it’s difficult to get all the necessary premium sports facilities in India due to lack of 

infrastructure, proper working status of sports governing bodies and money as well. But if you are

 best in your choice of sports, so to honor you there are many Indian sports awards which are

sole enough to bring the fame as well as sponsorship for you. In starting it takes years for nay

sports person to get established and get fame. List of sports awards are following;

i. Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna:  In

India its highest sports award.

ii. Arjuna Awards: It’s for the best

sportsperson in each sport

every year.

iii. Dronacharya Awards: Only for 

 best sports coach.

iv. Dhyan Chand Awards:

Lifetime achievement award

in the field of sports.

v. Rashtriya Khel Protsahan

Puruskar: Given to

organizations and individuals, who have contributed for the development of sports in

India.

vi. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Award: For Indian universities.

vii. Tenzing Norgay Adventure Award: For adventure sports on sea, land and air.

From the above list of sports awards if you will get anyone, so without any doubt you will come

in the lime night and soon you will able to get the premium sports facilities. In India we have many

active sports such as; tennis, golf, boxing, hockey, athletics, squash, Chess, football, Cricket and

more. And in every sports we have talented players who have make our country in different sports

event such as; Mahesh Bhupathi, Vishwanathan Anand, Saina Nehwal, Prakash Padukone, Jeev

Milkha Singh, Leander Paes, Dhyan Chand, Sania Mirza, Jyoti Randhawa and many more. Now

most of the talented sports persons are guiding the young generation to perform better in their 

interest of sports. Mahesh Bhupathi, Vishwanathan Anand, Saina Nehwal, Jeev Milk ha Singh and

Dhyan Chand are the few names who have received the best Indian sports awards in their 

active sports field.
