It’s not that all guys are clueless. Ideas can be hard to come by.
Is the relationship new or weathered a lot of storms? Get some
Valentine’s Day gift ideas from a woman’s perspective.
Throughout the years, I’ve had several
boyfriends and a wonderful husband buy me
gifts for Valentine’s Day. I’ve seen years and
years of roses pile up at my cute feet,
enough chocolate boxes to level all the
uneven tables in a major metropolis, and
had my fill of lobster, steak, and shrimp. So
I’ve decided to stand up and give you men a
bit of advice. After all who knows what gift
your girlfriend will like better than another
woman?
The perfect gift will be different depending
on the girl. I'll say that right away. You’ll at
least need to know a few things about her.
You have been listening to her, right? Did
your eyes just go back to the television? Let’s start with her name, age, and your
length of relationship. Those are easy.

The Short Term Relationship Gift Idea Guide It’s only been a month, maybe two. Both of you feel connected and love to go
clubbing, to the movies, and relax on the couch. It’s getting serious, but it’s not
too serious…yet. This may be the most crucial Valentine’s Day you’ll have with her
-- the first. Let’s begin.
What’s her personality type? Does she match one of the following?
Career Woman
Adventurous
Techie
Homemaker
Intellectual
Don’t go ask her. You should know! Ok, ok…you’ve narrowed it down? Try
picturing what someone with that personality would love to have? Any idea? Ok,
close your eyes. Well, you need to read so keep them open a bit. Where do you
picture your girlfriend the happiest? Is she dancing, reading a book, gossiping with
the girls, taking care of a garden, or simply soaking up some sun on a beach? Now
that you have her in her happy zone, imagine what you could buy her to make
those things happen.
Still blank? Take a look at this gift guide. It should help you find the perfect gift for
your girlfriend.
The Long Term Relationship Gift Idea Guide After so many years of talks, walks, back rubs, road trips, visits with the family,
and holidays, gift buying on Valentine’s Day should be a breeze. But here you are
stumped. I don’t blame you. Ideas come and go. Sometimes men are inspired with
their gifts, while other times it seems they took a road often traveled. Jewelry
might not be the perfect gift. It may be too. Or it may be what you bought her last
year, and you do have a reputation as a superstar boyfriend to uphold. So let’s
take a look at some options and a quick strategy.

The same exercise for the short term relationship may work for you. Try it out and
come back.
That didn’t work for you? Then you have a challenge my friend. This gift has to be
good. It has to leave her quaking in her designer boots (there’s an idea). So now
you need to do a quick mental or actual checklist of a few things.
What dreams does she harbor but never gone after? Has she spoken of someday
learning to salsa dance after watching Dancing with the Stars? Has she wanted to
learn to scuba dive, rock climbing, sew, write a manuscript, or anything else? You
need to remember. A perfect gift might be waiting on the end of this hook. Just
find the bait and draw it out of the murky water. I’ll wait. Meditate for a moment.
Figure it out? Great!
I wish you all the luck in the world, and a truly romantic evening on the 14th of
February.
