introspection) for further growth, personally and professionally.
Employability Training Program with GTT and NASSCOM
Barclay’s successfully organized Global Talent Track in association with NASSCOM from August
to September’2016 that is a total 80 hour course.
Global Talent Track (GTT) is a path breaking skills development venture that has been set up by some
of the best minds from the industry, academia and technology domains.
The venture has been established to train aspiring students on vocational skills that will help them get
ready for the industry, bridging the gap existent in their employability quotient.
Global Talent Track has successfully implemented its employability programme across India. The job
oriented training is guided by an assessment tool which assists students in choosing their career path by
helping them discover their core strengths and interests in their chosen domain.
This program was a great success and helped students in the improvement of their skills and overall
personality.
In the end Barclay’s offered long term association with the institution.
Guest Lecture Series on Enforcing Security Using SQL
Department of Computer Science and Engineering has successfully organized five day guest lecture
series on Database- Enforcing Security Using SQL from 17th
– 21st October 2016 organized by TOS
Technology Pvt Ltd, Noida and the resource person was Mr. Hemant Singh. The guest lecture
session started with the basics of DBMS and the need of database management system. He also told
about role of DBMS in industry.
Resource person describe general security issues with database management system. Databases often
hold the backbone of an organization; Its’ transactions, customers, employee info, financial data for
both the company and its customers, and much more all are held in databases, often left to the power
of a database administrator with no security training. Database security and integrity are essential
aspects of an organization’s security posture. The triad of confidentiality, integrity and availability is
the foundation of information security, and database security. Resource person divide the whole
course into the five modules: General security issues, MySQL access privilege system, User account
management and Encrypted connetctions. The best part of the guest lecture session was that it was
followed by hands-on session where students do various activities like access control of stage 1 and
stage 2, user name and password, adding and removing user accounts, password management, user
account locking, configuring MySQL to use encrypted connections ets.
Five days guest lecture session was concluded with Questionnaire session followed by Vote of
Thanks.

with NITTTR, Chandigarh 9th
to 13th
January, 2017. The knowledge of research methodology
provides training to new researchers and enables them to do research properly. It helps them to
develop disciplined thinking or a ‘bent of mind’ to objectively observe the field. The FDP has
provided very important content and good coverage to the things required for research and its
related technology.
