SO WHAT IS OUR VISION ?
• Community support• Safe / secure environment• Upgraded Infrastructure
– Access control / gated rural community– Controlled thoroughfare of both Msawawa / Farmall residents, Kyasands
vehicles– Proper perimeter protection for CCE– Proper road management incl maintenance / traffic calming / speed
enforcement– Proper building control / ‘rights use’ to preserve CCE’s rural appeal– Establishment of bridleways, mountain bike / walking / running trails
The Way Forward
• Upgraded Infrastructure cont.– Bird watching along the new river trails (by kind permission of the
owners !)– CCE park for walking dogs / picnics on a Sunday afternoon in
complete safety
• Who Says That We Cannot Achieve This ?– All possible with community support (active participation AND financial)
• Alternative Vision / Reality– PWV5 / K33 / K56 destroying CCE as we know it (based on a 40 year old
design)– Unprecedented traffic volumes / noise levels akin to those on busy Bryanston
roads– Property values peaking at current levels (subjective but highly possible !)– Increased crime and the like– Rural lifestyle will be replaced with high density living
