Pay It Forward this year and donate part or all of your 2012 Member Bonus to the Jessica Ridgeway Legacy Fund.

MEMBER BONUS DAY Friday, January 11, 2013

This year we’re returning $300,000 to our most loyal members. That brings our Member Bonus payout to more than $1.5 million since 2008. Your participation in the Credit Union is integral to our success, and we value your loyalty.

PAY IT FORWARDCredit Unions were formed on the basis of ‘People Helping People’ in a cooperative manner. One of the Seven Principles of a Cooperative is Concern for the Community.

Our Region has had its fair share of challenges in the past year. One that hit very close to home involved our members, the Ridgeway Family. The Ridgeways have been members of Community Financial Credit Union for more than 20 years. The Jessica Ridgeway Benefit Account was set up at the Credit Union to manage the outpouring of community support.

Though we did not publicize this benefit account to our members, we have had discussions with the Ridgeway Family about how our members could honor the memory of a fellow member. One way

to Pay It Forward and honor Jessica is to donate all or a portion of your 2012 Member Bonus to the Jessica Ridgeway Legacy Fund with the Broomfield Community Foundation. Grants made from this donor-advised fund will be approved by the Ridgeway Family and will support youth and young girls in the community via camps and scholarships.

To contribute all or a portion of your member bonus, follow the instructions below:

• Visit: www.yourlocalcreditunion.com/payitforward (OR CLICK HERE)

• Enter your ‘Pay It Forward’ identification number: (from your member bonus letter)

• Enter the Pay It Forward amount in the box provided

• Click “Submit”

If you are unable to Pay It Forward online, you may call 303.469.5366 to speak with a Financial Specialist. All Pay it Forward contributions must be made online or via telephone by Friday, January 4, 2013.

In accordance with Federal laws, your Member Bonus will be reported as interest income on the 2013 1099-INT Form. Contributions to the Jessica Ridgeway Legacy Fund will be deducted from your Member Bonus amount and will not be reported on the 1099-INT. The contribution to the Jessica Ridgeway Legacy Fund is not deductible on your personal tax return because it is not being made as an individual contribution. Please consult your tax advisor for additional information.
