  • Ahoy, Booty!Another Member Bonus means more money returned to our members.

    This year, Community Financial Credit Union has the great pleasure of returning a chunk of our yearly earnings back to our most loyal mem-bers in the form of a Member Bonus.

    How much, you ask? To be specific, we are returning $300,000 to our Gold and Platinum members.

    The HistorySince our Member Bonus program started in 2008, we have returned more have $1.2 Mil-lion to our most loyal members. The program began as a way to reward Credit Union en-gagement and continues to be a great way to give back to our committed members.

    The CalculationSo, how does this all work? Well, we have de-veloped a fancy calculation to determine Mem-ber Bonus amounts. The Member Bonus is

    calculated based on the amount of interest and divi-dends earned on deposit accounts, as well as the inter-est a member paid on loans. The total amount is split between interest earned and interest paid.

    The final calculation is:100% of interest or dividends earned on Share Savings, Secondary Share Savings, Money Man-ager, Holiday Club (discontinued as of November, 2011), Share Draft (checking) and other deposit accounts;

    10% of interest or dividends earned on all types of Share Certificates of Deposit;

    10% of interest paid on all loans, with the excep-tion of Commercial Loans.

    This year, many members are eligible for upwards of a $1,000 Member Bonus! Thank you to to all of our members who consciously engaged with the Credit Union this year. We appreciate all of your support and cooperation.
