Local Author To Visit Central!

   February 13, 2018   Dear Parents,  

As part of Central Elementary School’s “Read Across America” Celebration, we will be hosting local children’s book author, Paul Orshoski, on March 2nd at Central.  Mr. Orshoski is a former teacher and coach from Ohio.  He will be doing a presentation for all Central students.   

 Families have the opportunity to purchase signed books directly from the author.

Beverly’s Birthdays, a Pittsburgh nonprofit organization, provides birthday celebrations for children experiencing homelessness and for

families in-need. Kids Care Club will be helping Beverly’s Birthdays spread birthday cheer by collecting items for their Itty Bitty Birthday Cheer program. This program provides birthday cheer bins filled with essential items for newborn babies. Beverly’s Birthdays partner with

agencies to host group baby showers.

Central PTO Invites Students to a

“Someone Special Dance”

Friday, February 23, 2018

6:30 - 8:00 PM

Central Elementary Cafeteria Admission is $10 per student - includes DJ, carnation, photo,

cookies & punch

Students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade may invite an adult that is someone special in their life to

attend the dance with them. This could be a mother, father, grandparent or any other adult that is special to

your child(ren). Suggested attire is casual dressy (khakis, simple dress). Please complete and submit the form

below with payment to reserve your place for this special event by Tuesday, Feb. 13. Label your payment

envelope “PTO Dance.” Students will give the envelope to their homeroom teacher to send to the office.
