Watch over your children, O Lord, as their days increase; bless and guide them wherever they may be. Strengthen them when they stand; comfort them when discouraged or sorrowful; raise them up if they fall; and in their heart may your peace which passes understanding abide all the days of their life; through Je-sus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Join the Choir or just sing occasionally
If you enjoy singing—come sing with the choir for Easter services. It is a great way to get involved, get to know people, to learn and serve. If you like it, we would love to have you keep singing
on Sundays. Just show up at 7:30 p.m. any Wednesday night.
Lenten Series: Dinner & Movie Wednesday 6:30 p.m.
For Lent this year, we are watching a movie each Wednesday night. This week we are screen-ing the animated Ten Commandments (2007) with the voices of Ben Kingsley, Christian Slater and Elliott Gould. We will supply soup and bread — even some popcorn, so make an evening of it. Invite your friends and neighbors. This film is appropriate for adults and kids. It is rated PG do to some “peril,” which might best guess is the result of the some of the plagues.

Stu Langs How long at Christ Church- 15 years Why I came- A bicycle ride with my future wife, Kaethe. She pulled into the church and acted like she owned the place. I told her, ‘you can’t just do that-leaving your bicycle in a hallway in a place you don’t know’. She just
smiled. I have almost never missed a Sunday from that time forward Favorite place- Barbados. I thought about moving there after I retired Favorite thing about my career- I taught science and electronics and feel that being a teacher was a wonderful and rewarding contribution(although not monetarily) to the future of our planet Favorite author- James Michener-thick books I am always sorry to see end Favorite food-Chinese dim sum. I love the tasty surprise packed away in each little dumpling
Tricia Christensen How long at Christ Church- 17 years Why I came- I grew up in a Methodist family, and my parents were very involved in our church. But even as a young person I wanted more liturgy and music. After attending an Episcopal high school, I started seeking Episcopal parishes wherever I lived. I was confirmed at Grace Cathedral and when we moved to Ladera in 2000, I sought out the closest Episcopal church. After seeing many different ones, I knew immediately that Christ Church was just right for me (and our family as it expanded). Favorite place- Squaw Valley Favorite author- John McPhee Favorite movie- The Princess Bride or A Room With a View What I wanted to grow up to be- a mother with lots of kids

40 Days—40 Items Here is a challenge for you! Check out the recycle bags in the narthex. Each day of Lent, remove one item from your closet that you longer wear or need, or a toy that you no longer use and put it into the plastic recycle bag. Please make sure the items are gently used with no stains or too much wear. At the end of forty days, bring the items to church to be donated to our local shelter.
