“Follow the Star” Children’s Christmas Musical

The Children’s Christmas musical will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 14.

Also, just a reminder, all of our children need to be at the church no later than 6 p.m. on the evening of the performance. Following the performance, everyone is invited to join us in the downstairs fellowship hall for Christmas fun and goodies. Contact: Stephanie Mahone

PARTIES AND CHRISTMAS

CHEER Cookie Exchange This annual exchange of holiday sweet treats will take place Saturday, Dec. 13 at 9:30 a.m. This is a great way to gather and taste many difference kinds of cookies, candies and confections without

all the fuss. Please sign up on the hallway bulletin board by Dec. 7 so everyone knows how many cookies to make. On or before Dec. 11, each person will be contacted with the number of cookies they will need to bring to the exchange. You will then pre-package your cookies in batches of 6 so that each person will be able to take home one package of each baked item. Happy baking! Contact: Stacy Lee

The Hillcrest Postal Express is once again in service. To send Hillcrest members Christmas greetings just write each person’s name on the front of the card and your name on the back of the card and place them in the mailbox down in the fellowship hall. Each Wednesday and Sunday during the month of December, Hillcrest youth will deliver the cards for you. In lieu of paying U.S. postage, please consider including a donation to Hillcrest for this service. Checks can be made payable to Hillcrest with “Christmas cards” in the notation. There are envelopes in the mail box for cash donations. Proceeds will go to the Fellowship Team to offset the rising cost of coffee, cookies, etc. Please see Cathy Wright for more information.

New Year’s Eve Family Fun Night @ HBC If you are looking for a fun family - oriented way to bring in the new year. Why not spend New Year’s Eve at Hillcrest? Items can include toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, soap/body wash, lotion, Kleenex, hand sanitizer…..all travel size please. Operation Christmas Child Update

We were able to successfully pack and deliver 51 shoeboxes for the Operation Christmas Child project. Thank you to all of the Pioneer Clubs teachers, students and families for working together to pack on a special night. Also, to the many Hillcrest fami-lies that not only donated boxes and items for the boxes, but donated money to cover the shipping of the boxes. What a great way to spread Christmas love and cheer this season. Thank you to Taylor and Josh Hutton for playing a big part in organizing our efforts. Be in prayer for them as they travel to North Carolina during the first week of December to volunteer at the main processing center. We will look forward to hearing about their adventures when they return!
