CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - MY FIRST BIENNALE CINARS (International Exchange for the Performing Arts) Deadline: April 10, 2020 Encouraging emerging talent in the performing arts is of the utmost importance to CINARS. Given the success of previous editions, we are more than happy to renew My First Biennale on the occasion of the 2020 CINARS Biennale! My First Biennale allows six emerging artists, agents or emerging artist representatives to participate, for the very first time, in the CINARS Biennale, as well as to be introduced to market development on an international scale. Participation in My First Biennale (value of $1000) includes: • A half-day training in preparation for the 2020 CINARS Biennale in the CINARS

office;

• An accreditation, including access to all the 2020 CINARS Biennale activities;

• A spot in a collective stand in the 2020 CINARS Biennale’ exhibition hall, shared with the five (5) other selected participants;

• A mentoring session with a cultural industry professional, before or after the CINARS Biennale.

CONDITIONS OF ADMISSIBILITY

• Never having participated as a person or as an artistic company in a CINARS

Biennale before;

• To be an artist, an agent or a representative of a company having its headquarters in Quebec;

• Representing at least one show that is available for international touring;

• To have the necessary financial and human resources to undertake a marketing campaign.

APPLICATION DOCUMENTS 1. A letter of motivation that explains why you would like to participate in the 2020

CINARS Biennale; 2. Your resume; 3. Information about your artistic company or agency (bio, press reviews, etc.); 4. A list of performances of the last 2 years; 5. A Video link of your shows (excerpt and/or full-length) and access code if required.

If you are selected, participation fees of $150 CAD (tax included) will apply.
