School of Nursing TEAS Information & Registration

The Test of Essential Academic Skills (TEAS), Version 5, is the test used as one component of the selection process and is the only test used for admission to the CSU, Chico School of Nursing. This exam has four parts: Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and Language Usage and is based on knowledge acquired at the high school level. To take the TEAS, you must first create an account with ATI. Prior to registering for the test, create an account with ATI at: http://www.atitesting.com. ATI will assign you an ID number. (If you already have an account with ATI, it is not necessary to create a new account.) When creating an account, in the area where it asks for Institution, use “CA State Chico.” Write the ID number on top of the form on the following page. Print out your ID number to bring to the testing session, along with a Photo ID (i.e., CA driver’s license) and two #2 pencils. If you do not have a Photo ID, you will not be permitted to take the exam.

Date of Test: Saturday, January 23, 2016 Time: The test will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. It will take approximately 4 hours. (Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the beginning of test to sign in.) Location: California State University, Chico, Holt Hall, Room 170 Cost: $60.00 (cash, money order, or cashier’s check only) No personal checks. Registration Deadline: Thursday, January 20, 2016, by 5:00 p.m. The registration form and payment

must be received in the School of Nursing office by this time. Submit the application form (below) with cash, a money order or cashier’s check for $60 before the registration deadline. Please make payable to: CSU, Chico Research Foundation. Personal checks will not be accepted. The payment received is non-refundable and nontransferable to another testing date. A TEAS study guide is available from www.atitesting.com. Scores will be available on the ATI website, and will also be sent directly to CSU, Chico for this testing session. Please note: A minimum TEAS Score (the Adjusted Individual Total Score) of 80% is required if applying to CSU, Chico School of Nursing. Applicants with scores under 80% will not be considered. No calculators, cell phones, pages, or PDAs will be allowed in the testing session. A campus map is available online at: http://www.csuchico.edu/community/map/. Holt Hall is in the northeast section of campus near Bidwell Mansion. It’s located along Arcadian Avenue. There is 10 hour parking along Citrus Avenue.
