Hour of code celebration is a global event which serves as a platform for

the coding hands to enter into the world of digitization. With the aim of spreading

the genesis of computing skills and enrich the coding skills, SKCET in association

with Google Developer group conducted "Hour of Code Celebration".

Chief guest Mr. Bharathi Mallapur, V.P. Technology, EMURUGO, Bengalru

enlightened the participants on the topic ‘The need for programming skills’.

Dr.J.P.Ananth, COE delivered the Presidential address emphasizing the coding

skills to be imparted.

As a part of Aspire CoE, Mr. Antony Rufus, Talent Nurturing Team, interacted

with the Aspirants and reviewed their project work and performance. Aspire

Internship students had a Skype call with the Aspire team, Chennai. A review was

conducted on UML diagram and valuable suggestions were given by Aspire team to

enhance the design knowledge in the real world projects.

Dr. S. Sophia, HoD, ECE, addressed the II year ECE students regarding the

Industrial visit planned for them. The students are visiting Traco Cable Company

Limited, Kochi. “Traco Cable Company Limited” is engaged in the

manufacturing and exporting of quality assortments of Aluminium Conductor,

Electric Cable, Electric Wire, XLPE Cable and Insulated Cable.
