The Infosys Principal’s Meet 2.0 was conducted by Infosys, Chennai today. The Meeting Window for SKCET was this afternoon slot whereby a One on One and Face to Face discussion was held with our core team headed by Principal Madam Dr.J.Janet along with Dr.Jayasudha Subburaj, Placement Officer and Dr.N.Susila, Head of the Department, Information Technology. The college wise retrospection and transparent discussions were deliberated with regard to the Action items for the academic year 2019-20 with Mr.Roy Antony Arnold of Campus Connect Programme . The main focus was on INFYTQ based FP Roll out, Infosys Certification and Inspire Awards.

Infosys and Sri Krishna College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore had entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to partner for competitiveness of highly capable talent for in Information Technology (IT) space.

Infosys, in this Campus Connect program, shares with academia its proven technology training methods, courseware, student project samples and other such learning resources.

The Campus Connect program has several program components weaved together to create synergy for effective, fast-paced learning. Owing to the Boot camp assessment for the pre-final year students, Department of CSE has taken an initiative in making the Final year boot camp selected students to interact with the pre-final year students. The students shared their individual experiences in boot camp learning, cracking the placement tests and motivated their juniors to have a strong determination to enter the boot camp.

The meeting was convened by Dr.V.Ragavi, Head of the Department for the smooth and effective functioning of this academic year. She reinforced the idea of Learning games called ‘Kahoot‟ and „Quizizz‟ which helps in better interaction and evaluation at ease in teaching learning process. She encouraged the faculty members to be resourceful to implement innovative techniques for constructive classes and duties for GQ admission. Preparation of Information Brochure work and hour-wise update attendance updation were insisted.

Mr. Saravana Kumar from GATE Forum addressed the Second year EEE students on GATE preparation and coaching. He discussed the importance of preparing for GATE exam and its benefits in the higher education and employment in Core and Central Government. A mock test was also conducted for our students.

Inter Institutional Inclusive Innovations Center (i4C), one of the partnering organizations of Smart India Hackathon 2019 has shared the insightful feedback by our Principal Madam Dr.J.Janet on their official Face book page and appreciated the exemplary efforts of SKCET in organising SIH 2019 last week. This week, the feedback shared by Dr.Ashoka Varthanan, coordinator of SIH 2019 was shared by i4C with special mention to SKCET. We are the only prestigious nodal centre in Tamilnadu for the third consecutive time to host the grand finale of Smart India Hackathon alongside MHRD, AICTE and i4C.

Doctor’s Day is a tribute to all medical professionals who have ethically treated patients

and served the society irrespective of all odds. Doctor’s Day is an opportunity to the people to

express their gratitude towards Doctors. This day is dedicated to all medical professionals

who work and serve patients round the clock to save lives.

National Doctor’s Day is celebrated in the memory of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, the second

Chief Minister of West Bengal and a legendary physician. He was born on July 1, 1882 and

died on the same date in 1962, aged 80 years. He is one of the few people in history to have

obtained FRCS and MRCP degrees simultaneously.

Doctor’s Day is observed on different dates across the world. In the United States it is

observed on the 30th of March, in Cuba on the 3rd of December and on the 23rd of August in

Iran. Theme of Doctor’s Day 2019 in India is “Zero tolerance to violence against doctors

and clinical establishment”.
