Many year 5 students nominated, and again I thank them all for their interest in leadership and willingness to serve. We congratulate: Hughes Northcott Greentrees Parkes Captains Dylan L Ella W Oscar R Evelyn L Nicholas B Mia B Henry P Kate L Vice Captains James M Aerin D Michael H Stefania M Amber T Massimo S Oliver G Eloise E 2016 Requests This is a reminder that the school cannot honour requests from parents for their child to be taught by a specific teacher. All teaching staff members possess the qualifications and accreditation required of them to teach in a K6 setting. At this stage we are still unsure of the class structure for 2016, with new enrolments coming almost by the day! Thank you for your understanding. Wellbeing Policy Draft In 2016, significant changes to the school’s Student Wellbeing Policy will be implemented. This is in response to a local recognition that there is limited understanding about our current ‘rules’ and stated ‘values’ and the need for staff members to consistently seek to resolve issues relating to student wellbeing. The newlook policy will incorporate the Department of Education’s new Wellbeing Framework for Schools, specifically addressing the cognitive, social, emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing of students. SPORT NEWSWhat a fantastic year it has been for our 2015 BushSchool Tennis Team The Bush School Team usuallyconsists of about 8 doubles pairs who play in ThePrimary School Challenge held once a term at variouslocations throughout Sydney North area

2015 has been the MOST successful year thus far withThe Bush School sitting at 1st PLACE (out of approx 40schools) after the first 3 terms of competition Thisallowed us to select 6 players to represent our school atthe Finals held at Talus Street Tennis Complex on 7thNovember Everyone else played a normal round ofcompetition at Kooroora Tennis Centre The finalscompetition was an extremely high standard our studentsfaced teams we had never seen before and mostlyconsisting of year 6 students Our young team must becommended on their fighting spirit and greatsportsmanship

Year 6 AdvocacyThis term Year 6 has been working on Advocacy The idea was to create a campaign on aworld issue narrowed down to something smaller agreed by the rest of our group Clickhere to see the photos of all the groups

Our campaign is called Water Works Our campaign aim is to create awareness aboutthe water crisis in Africa Throughout the term we have completed workshops in the leadup to our presentation These included topics such as stakeholders branding andSMART goals

Year 6 AdvocacyThis term Year 6 has been working on Advocacy The idea was to create a campaign on aworld issue narrowed down to something smaller agreed by the rest of our group Clickhere to see the photos of all the groups

Our campaign is called Water Works Our campaign aim is to create awareness aboutthe water crisis in Africa Throughout the term we have completed workshops in the leadup to our presentation These included topics such as stakeholders branding andSMART goals

SPORT NEWSWhat a fantastic year it has been for our 2015 BushSchool Tennis Team The Bush School Team usuallyconsists of about 8 doubles pairs who play in ThePrimary School Challenge held once a term at variouslocations throughout Sydney North area

2015 has been the MOST successful year thus far withThe Bush School sitting at 1st PLACE (out of approx 40schools) after the first 3 terms of competition Thisallowed us to select 6 players to represent our school atthe Finals held at Talus Street Tennis Complex on 7thNovember Everyone else played a normal round ofcompetition at Kooroora Tennis Centre The finalscompetition was an extremely high standard our studentsfaced teams we had never seen before and mostlyconsisting of year 6 students Our young team must becommended on their fighting spirit and greatsportsmanship

SPORT NEWSWhat a fantastic year it has been for our 2015 BushSchool Tennis Team The Bush School Team usuallyconsists of about 8 doubles pairs who play in ThePrimary School Challenge held once a term at variouslocations throughout Sydney North area

2015 has been the MOST successful year thus far withThe Bush School sitting at 1st PLACE (out of approx 40schools) after the first 3 terms of competition Thisallowed us to select 6 players to represent our school atthe Finals held at Talus Street Tennis Complex on 7thNovember Everyone else played a normal round ofcompetition at Kooroora Tennis Centre The finalscompetition was an extremely high standard our studentsfaced teams we had never seen before and mostlyconsisting of year 6 students Our young team must becommended on their fighting spirit and greatsportsmanship

Year 6 AdvocacyThis term Year 6 has been working on Advocacy The idea was to create a campaign on aworld issue narrowed down to something smaller agreed by the rest of our group Clickhere to see the photos of all the groups

Our campaign is called Water Works Our campaign aim is to create awareness aboutthe water crisis in Africa Throughout the term we have completed workshops in the leadup to our presentation These included topics such as stakeholders branding andSMART goals
