The Stations of the Cross are prayed in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament Mass, Tuesday to Saturday before Mass

Prayer to Saint JosephGlorious Saint Joseph, foster-father and protector of Jesus Christ, to you I raise my heart and my hands to implore your powerful intercession. Please obtain for me from the kind Heart of Jesus the help and the graces necessary for my spiritual and temporal welfare. I ask particularly for the grace of a happy death and the special favor I now implore.

(Make your petition here...)

Guardian of the Word Incarnate, I feel animated with confidence that your prayers in my behalf will be graciously heard before the throne of God. O glorious Saint Joseph, through the love you bear to Jesus Christ, and for the glory of His name, hear my prayers and obtain my petitions.

Message of Gratitude from Archbishop O’BrienI want to express my sincere appreciation for the prayers, best wishes, and cards which I received during my convalescence from the injuries I sustained in a fall several weeks ago. Your prayers and support have been a great help in my healing. I hope to return to my regular duties this week. Sincerely in Christ, +Brendan M. O’Brien, Archbishop of Kingston

Share Lent Campaign for Development and PeaceShare Lent Pilgrimage-Helping nuns serve their people in Bethlehem. The 4th week of our pilgrimage finds us in the Holy Land. Development and Peace is supporting Salesian nuns in the Cremisan Valley in Bethlehem in their struggle to remain close to their people. Their ability to provide schooling to over 450 children has been threatened by the construction of a separation wall which will cut them off from the people they serve. Your support helps to provide them with crucial legal support to fight the construction in the courts. Next Sunday is Solidarity Sunday and the Share Lent collection. Please be generous!

The Chrism Mass in the Extraordinary Jubilee Year of Mercy At St. Mary’s Cathedral, on Tuesday, 22 March at 7:30 p.m. The oils used for the Sacramental life of the Church will be blessed by Archbishop O’Brien and distributed to each Parish and Institution in our Archdiocese. A reception will follow at École Cathédrale. All are invited to participate in this special celebration.

Create a Climate of Change is the theme for this year’s Share Lent collection for Development and Peace. Information on the campaign, inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Si’, can be found both in this bulletin as well as on the tables in the Church entrance. As Bishop Crosby, President of the Canadian Bishops, has written, “Development and Peace gives a wonderful opportunity to join our efforts with our sisters and brothers in the Global South who struggle to improve their conditions of life and to live in full dignity.” Thank you in advance for your continued generosity for CCODP on the weekend of March 13.

Divine Mercy in the Gospels – Lenten MissionIn this Jubilee of Mercy, Archbishop O’Brien invites you to the Archdiocese’s Lenten Mission at St. Mary’s Cathedral, which will be held from Mon., Mar. 14 to Thurs., Mar. 17. Each evening, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed at 6 pm & confessions will be heard before and after the Mission talk at 7 pm. Theme for each evening’s talk: Mon. (Mar. 14) Ask for Mercy: The Prodigal Son; Tues. (Mar. 15) Be Merciful: The Good Samaritan; Wed., (Mar. 16) Confidence in Mercy: The Sinful Woman; Thurs. (Mar.17) The Cross: Wellspring of Infinite Divine Mercy. Please join as we reflect on the depths of Our Father’s merciful love for us.
