People - Recruiting• The beginning of Operations Excellence. We must get this right.

• Do we have a recruiting strategy for the Facility / Park / FEC / each department?

Proper staffing levels – grow sales!!

• Our biggest challenge in recruiting and training is turnover – if we could retain more

of our staff we would have to recruit and train less. Inspired Leadership.

• Departmental succession planning and leadership. Take ownership! Long term

development.

• Failure cannot be an option. Too many challenges in operations because of being

understaffed. We need Leaders to Lead not to perform hourly functions!

• Best in class training and development programs attract stronger candidates.

• Do we have the right training environment? Are your programs simple to follow, impactful

Steps for Building a World-Class

Employee Training ProgramTraining is the primary means by which you equip, empower and motivate your team members.

Here are seven steps for building a world-class training program:

1. Training curriculum should be mapped into position descriptions.

2. In-house training environment that is supported by corporate management or individual

ownership.

3. Internal mentor system is important.

4. Employees need to commit to training and career development

5. Prompt feedback is necessary

6. Training needs to be evaluated and reinforced regularly
