Buffy slayer farce christianity and arts in the orthodox church talk
There are no christian themes in buffy slayer film as proposed by the speaker.
One can not discount the fact that every scene used by the speaker was sequentially constructing a
non christian view of angels and demons.
Yet he attempted to reconcile this feature with the st basil analogy of the bee to the honey which
was specific to a cultural and historical idiom, that dealt with the reception of non christian people, who mysteriously received forms and fragments of revelation from christianity even before its time
and does not correlate and qualify in any form or fashion christian themes or metaphors used to
direct the viewer to the message of christ or the reality of the battle of angels and demons.
Instead we find that the scene and content of the film is either constructed creatively without the
guidance to purposeful input of christian themes to convey its inherent message.
The fact that buffy's power is rooted in evil when she fell from heaven and therefore can still be a
force for good is almost or can be construed as an attempt to purposefully distort christian narratives
and themes in perhaps the hope to create a good that is not associated with god but with the occult
and the new age of which these types of films are usually associated with.uffy shows her true self as not an angel, but as a demon since she is fallen and decided to adopt
the cloak of good, this cloak of good is the standard the world accords as good which are human
rights akin to it is a womans right to abort since it is her body and this is good and hurting the
mothers choose is not freedom and liberty and therefore bad as they construe.
The speaker was general and never specific to e!plain or to demonstrate how to reconcile st basil's
analogy to contemporary media which bases many of its creative endeavors around occultist and
new age themes.
Instead of perhaps demonstrating how the myth as the dialogue between author lord of the rings and
c" lewis show is a reality within the deep abyss of a persons consciousness and how story creative
narratives are usually constructed to reflect the deep reality our conscious knows that e!ists with the
battle of the demons and angels and showing that in the instance of buffy, the author decided to
choose evil over good, was not a priority or a point of fi!ture for the speaker of this talk, whom I
forgot his name.
#lowly the boundaries of theosophy which is blatant satanism and pre pagan themes will merge to
falsely demonstrate that they are the same thing.
$cumenism therefore blinds the person to folly and error and since they pedal stool reason above
god, reason and logic is therefore sensical for them when is delineated and marginalised to humancategories of political acceptance of which the fallen world is victim.
#t basil intention is about taking the good from the bad, but I find it hard to believe that st basil
would accept modern media narratives like buffy as qualifying as such, since the good is
overshadowed by the bad and therefore the bad becomes the premise or the barrier of resistance and
key to colour code and interpret the rest of the content of the film that is perceived as good.
%i!ing truth with lies make the content dangerous, so did st basil advocate that it is ok to e!tract the
good from the bad even to the point where the bad saturates and inundates it and redefines the good
to non christian parallels and paradigms. Obviously &ot..
The reason was because in pre christian greece, god worked the periphery to enlighten the gentiles
who were to be chosen to recognise the redeemer and christ and therefore various pagan sub"ectmatter pointed a line to this coming new paradigm. The redeemer as st nektarios points out was the
e!pectation of nations, the hope and saviour to come. I do not infer all of ancient greek society was
