Product highlights New products and solutions for a better world

ABB can manufacture transformers with considerably lower losses than those that are frequently delivered today

Low loss transformers are generally heavier and have larger outside dimensions

With new transformers, the higher material cost will be compensated by reduced running costs from lower losses. After a certain amount of time, the lower losses will give net financial savings due to reduced energy costs

Replacing old high loss transformers with new low loss transformers results in even higher savings

Given that a drastic energy reduction is required to save our global climate, low loss transformers should be chosen on grounds other than those purely related to short-term profitability

© ABB Group April 1, 2014 | Slide 35
