Product highlights New products and solutions for a better world
ABB can manufacture transformers with considerably lower losses than those that are frequently delivered today
Low loss transformers are generally heavier and have larger outside dimensions
With new transformers, the higher material cost will be compensated by reduced running costs from lower losses. After a certain amount of time, the lower losses will give net financial savings due to reduced energy costs
Replacing old high loss transformers with new low loss transformers results in even higher savings
Given that a drastic energy reduction is required to save our global climate, low loss transformers should be chosen on grounds other than those purely related to short-term profitability
