In the winter, it can behard to adhere to your
workout schedule.
It's tricky trying to go for arun when the streets are
covered in snow and sleet.
And those same elementsmake getting to the gym a
chore.

Here are some ways thatyou can not only get awinter workout in, but
also enjoy it!
Skiingand
Snowboarding
Even if you ride at thevery beginner level, skiingand snowboarding can bea great workout for your
legs and core.
Most mountains offer awide variety of terrain.
So you can keep yourworkout as low-impact as
you wish.
And both skiing andsnowboarding have great,supportive communities.
If you take care ofyourself, these can be life-
long hobbies.
Cross-countrySkiing
Cross-country is anothergreat option for staying
healthy.
Not only is it a bit saferthan its downhill
counterpart...
It's also more affordable.
No need for lift tickets!
And all it requires is a setof skis and some other
equipment.
Of course, it's always bestto ski with a buddy.
Ice Skating
Ice skating is anothergreat way to stay fit.
Manicured outdoor rinksmay be hard to find.
But search around. Theremay be one closer than
you think.
Indoor and outdoorskating is a great way toget your heart rate up.
Doing laps is a good wayto test your endurance.
But you can also trysprints, if you have
enough space.
Like with skiing andsnowboarding...
Make sure to go at a pacethat's comfortable with
you to avoid injury.
