HOST BAR The Holiday Inn Winnipeg Airport West would be pleased to provide a full-service bar for entertaining your guests. A Host Bar is used by a group when one individual or company is paying for all guests’ beverages. We provide one bartender at no charge when liquor consumption is $400.00 or more for one single bar. Should the bar revenues be less than $400.00, a charge of $17.00 per hour per bartender will be applicable (minimum charge of 3 hours commencing 1 hour before and terminating ½ hour after bar operation).

All bars are supplied with Vodka, Rye, Gin, White, Amber & Dark Rum and Scotch, two brands of Domestic Beer and Red & White House Wine unless otherwise specified.

BEVERAGE ARRANGEMENTS

CORKAGE BARChoosing a corkage bar allows you to personally purchase & supply your liquor while we take care of the service.

- An “Occasional Permit” is required by the Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Corporation. This permit may be obtained at any liquor store & application for the permit should be made no less than 14 days prior to the function. The permit and all receipts must accompany the alcoholic beverages at all times while in the Hotel. The Hotel is not allowed to serve other liquor, wine or beer unless a valid receipt is provided for same.

- The permit holder must be in attendance from the opening till the closing of the bar(s). The permit holder will be responsible for confirmation of inventory immediately following the function.

- The permit holder is legally responsible for any & all guests. He/she must ensure their safety & can be held liable in case of any accidents or injuries.

- No persons under 18 years of age are allowed to consume any alcohol during the function (even when accompanied by a parent, guardian or spouse) in accordance with the Manitoba Liquor Act.

- The Hotel has the right to refuse liquor service if any of the above are not adhered to.

- The Manitoba Liquor & Lotteries Corporation laws govern all functions where liquor is served. Under the MLLC Act, all function facilities must end liquor service by 1:00 am & the function space must be vacated 30 minutes later.

- The bar(s) will be open according to the time specified on the permit. Should the hours of the function result in bartender overtime, the overtime hours will be billed to the client.

The corkage charge is $11.00 per person and includes all of the following:

- Appropriate glassware & ice

- Soft drinks & orange, cranberry, pineapple & clamato juice

- Fresh fruit garnishes, cocktail napkins & stir sticks

- Service of wine

Special reduced children’s corkage charge of $5.50 per child for ages 3-12

For functions serving wine &/or beer only, the corkage charge is $5.50 per person that includes appropriate glassware, chilling and serving.

PLEASE NOTE: a resale permit must be obtained for same indicating the liquor sale price.

The Holiday Inn Airport West In-House Retail Sale Vendor:

We would be pleased to assist you with your permit’s beer requirements through our “in-house” beer vendor. We will require the brand(s), package size and quantity of beer you have listed on your permit at least 10 days prior to your function. This will save you from bringing in the beer yourself & return of the empty bottle refund will be accommodated on the evening of your function. Due to very limited storage facilities should you decide to bring beer in from an outside vendor then the permit holder will be responsible for the removal of all empty beer bottles on the night of the function.
