2009 BQCL AGM

The League IS a business Between revenue and expenses, our cash

flow this year was close to $400,000

Page 17: Blue Quill Community League

Year in Review – Executive Started the year with 9 Directors positions

filled Over the course of the year, Directors count

dropped to 8 Number of Directors (quorum) required to

introduce and pass motions = 7 Had to defer motions and hold special

meetings, so that motions could be tabled and voted on and minutes approved

At this AGM, there are several positions available.

Year in Review – Membership Director: John Van der Veen

Membership year runs from September 1 to August 31 in alignment with EFCL. The League starts with about 100 members after Fall Registration (Sep) and rises to about 220-250 after Spring Registration (Feb) and during the summer months.

Memberships can now be purchased online from EFCL (www.efcl.org), but service fees will apply.

We encourage you to purchase at registration times. No extra fees are charged.

Volunteer Cheques are now “per user/per program” rather than a single “per membership” fee
