IRENE DELCAMP rene Delcamp grew up in Midlothian, Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Government in 2002. Her interest in government led her to the practice of law and she returned to Richmond where she attended the T.C. Williams School of Law. Irene has been licensed to practice law since 2005.

Irene worked as a prosecutor in Henrico County at the beginning of her legal career, prior to turning to the practice of family law. Now enjoying her fi fth year at Barnes & Diehl, Irene utilizes the trial experience she gained as a prosecutor in her domestic cases.

Irene works on divorce, custody, adoption, child support, spousal support and protective order matters. She prides herself in representing her clients diligently with personal attention to their immediate concerns. She understands that every case is unique and that each client’s concerns are signifi cant. Irene appreciates the opportunity she has to have a positive impact on people’s lives in helping them through their divorce, custody, or adoption matter.

Irene fi nds that the most important skill she has developed in her practice is assessing her client’s goals and then fi nding the most effective and cost-conscious manner of achieving them. Not every case belongs in the courtroom. Irene has years of experience negotiating property settlement agreements, custody agreements, and support agreements.

Irene Delcamp’s offi ce is located in Chesterfi eld, Virginia. An active member of the legal community, she is currently the Young Lawyer Representative for the Virginia Bar Association’s Domestic Relations Council and has served this position since 2009. She served as the Henrico Licensing Chair for the Young Lawyers Division of the Virginia Bar Association for 2009-2010. Irene has been recognized by her peers and was named in Richmond Magazine as a Rising Star for 2009, 2010, and 2011.

Irene lives in Midlothian, Virginia, with her husband, Dudley, and their daughter.
