H & I (Vice Chair J.N. ):
H&I is struggling with committed members. We have currently had 2 members lose their badges that go into the
jails due to breaking the rules.
Community hospital also had only 2 out of 4 meetings coverage last month and the detox facility also had 5 meetings
not covered last month.
Anyone that has the willingness to join H&I would be gratefully appreciated.

Policy (J.):
Reviewed with 6th concept. There was a motion tabled to policy last month, but it was not reviewed due to chair not being
here. Also discussed dry dock meeting being put on meeting list which will be brought up at ASC.
RCM (D.):
**** RCM IS REQUESTING FEEDBACK ON THE FOLLOWING 5 ITEMS. the details are in report *****
home group to do list (5) -
1 - south east forum feedback, 2- service symposium feedback, 3 - feedback on zonal forum discussion as wsc, 4 -
feedback on guidelines of SE zonal forum, 5 - discuss regional helpline.
Thank you for allowing me to serve as your rcm. it is a privilege and an honor. it nwas once again another long and
succesful weekend at region. Saturday we discussed the following topics.
*a slogan I heard that really hit me was the following - if it's a good idea this month. it's a good idea next month. let's
take a chill pill on making a major change.
*an area showed interest in fellowship development so we discussed how it is done in other areas.
* bay area is in need of moving their asc to a different facility as they have out grown there current location. there
area was torn on making a desiscion to goto the terranova club. we shared our views as a region and they have sent it
back to groups.
*we talked about people not being interested in the fellowship such as others when reports are read from our gsr and
rcms. I encourage you all to ask questions and be involved in your home group. don't rush it. just cause its late or
you have had a long day. there is nothing that is more important than serving the newcomer and your homegroup.
ask how can you make your hg a more attractive atmosphere and welcoming to the newcomer?. elect a willing asc
member who has the spark. you are the people that makes this thing go round. please I encourage you to stand up
for that newcomer that hasn't come in yet and say no can I have a little more information or I feel as if we are
rushing or can we do anything better.
we have over 50 different languages where our literature is not translated. imagine wanting to get clean and na was
your last shot or only. and you couldn't read our literature cause it wasn't in our literature. we can change that. so
please i encourage you to donate a little more and give a little more of your time if possible.
* side note - we had 24 professionals at last symposium which is double from last year.
* we are talking about making the Florida symposium into a zonal forum. so we have more participation from other
zones or states. we as a region really felt that based on our principles of na we would go zonal and spread our
message to reach other zones. if we wanted to be selfish and prideful we would keep it here. the zones don't have a
conscious on whether to do this or not. they show interest in it and are not 100% sure if we want to do it . it will save
us some money. maybe more work on our rd and ad which can burn them out cause they would have to train the
others how to put on such a successful symposium. hotel reimbursement will still be applicable most likely. we will
still have a symposium in 2017 in Florida. we are discussing this for the possible change for 2019.
***so please tell me what you guys feel as an area? keep it here? movie it to SE zonal? or have both?
south east zonal consists of Alabama, Georgia, both Carolinas, and Florida.
*so we had discussion on zonal forums and what the future of it looks like. basically we meet at a zone similar to
region just a litter bit bigger scale. we collaborate as multiple states (5) and help one another out for the greater good
of na. we have zones set but they are non functional at this moment. if we set it up we have a regional budget
amount for it and we all car pool in a van and rooms and join. all members are welcome to come and join. you also
join at the comfort of our home via webinar. sezf.org is the website. we will also have videos to come that you can
watch to learn more about this.
*******what would you like to see us accomplish at these zonal forums if you want them at all?
we have created a pre draft of a guideline for the south east zonal forum to go by. similar to what we call policy in
this area. this isnt a motion/proposal, we simply just want your feedback.
****I ask that you read this and take this back to your home group. please add or subtract from it. theres a few
different ways we can do. A - we can form a workgroup and announce it for the next month and whomever is
interested in this can join and that workgroup will have our areas conscious upon their decision. or B - your home
groups can have a give of confidence to your rcm and/or rd/ad which is a combined effort of over 60 years.
*fun fact - we are the convention state of the world. we hold over 27 conventions a year!!!
*please visit naflorida.org as it is an amazing resource with so much to offer.
*we need to focus on this zonal forum because remember that old mutha hubber in a shoe story the family out grew
the shoe. just look at the worldwide zone chart and imagine half the map is not seated and don't have a voice but
want a voice so we need to work on our future. cause I don't want to be pushed out. I have stake in this fellowship
and this is the last house on the block. nothing will ever beat this guys. who are we as a fellowship to tell these people
we can't sit at the table and participate cause we want to dominate the seats. personal recovery depends on na unity.
50% of the 115 seats are taken by the U.S. if we used zones that would allow 30+ more people to participate. so listen
we will be talking about this allot more I just want to keep you guys updated so when it's time to make decisions you
guys have the information ready. the fellowship is asking for their guidance.
at the wsc we have 215 people, 112 regions, 40 countries, 21 languages.
zonal representation in the future is in discussion is not the only solution but we are starting the discussion again
now.
******what are your questions and thoughts on this zonal forum discussion? any other solutions other then zonal
representation?

Sunday - highlights of reports
*dacna 16 was a huge success. great report from the Hilton. met there room block of 200. $22,500 total revenue. 720
registrations. 1100 people on Saturday night. all speakers showed up and rocked it.
*everyone in the Florida regions asc lasts between 2-3 hours except suncoast!
*palm coast has 109 meetings a week and hni has 70 meetings per month. 57 calls for helpline. WOW. they are
having a na prom event. maybe something we can think about.
*bridging the gap is moving forward rapidly with much progress. we created a introduction letter and applications
for the inmates. so we may be sponsoring people behind the walls allot more. as well as getting them to meetings
upon release. we are forming a workgroup to take on this big and growing task as well as the new coordinator
position that we voted in.
*regional helpline group that I was chair of has concluded our research and found a company that will be sufficient
for us as well as the way we would handle the calls and set up. we felt it was concluded and we relized it wasnt upon
sharing our report on the floor. I got my ass handed to me on the floor. so we have a little bit more work to do. but I
wanted to ask....
*******if you would support this and would we think we would be able to get a few volunteers from our area to
volunteer. *please make sure our meeting locations are up to date on the bmlt.
*our hni coordinator continues to do great work. we collaborated with alcoholics anonymous as they called us and
said hey these people in this prison are addicts hahaha. they thanked us and one of those members has been released
and continues to prosper in narcotics anonymous.
*kbf and balinda went to Bermuda as they requested us to come help them. they had no structure. heres some
examples. they never charged for any literature but books and never knew thats why they were losing money. the
admin body of area made all the decisions and told the gsrs what to do. they never knew it was the opposite way so
once they realized that you had to see the happiness on their faces. they never switch positions and as they have a
queen and there not use to spirit of rotation. Trevor and one other woman, sponsor everyone on the island. they
were like sponges and just kept asking so many questions about everything. we did 6+ workshops and they treated
kbf and balinda like royalty. it was a great success. and they were soooooo thankful to the florida region.
*we are creating a new app as a fellowship and we wanted you guys to see what you felt about it. it's a 10th step app
that is in accordance with our living the program ip (ip 9 app). not sure if its free or $2. feedback should go to
[email protected]. we can review this for the next 120 days (by sept 4th). main issue that arises is security.
*****what are your thoughts on this?
* na step working guide is available to download on your phone now.
*we are sending a $8k donation to naws.
*please do not forget to register for frc-na.org. we have met our room block for frcna by may 1st. which is a first in
many years. we reserved some rooms at the rosen center 3 streets down for $109 a night. we only have 75 banquet
ticket seats left. june 7th is last support meeting. if your willing to volunteer please go to website and sign up to
volunteer. they could really use your help.
*the rso continues to kick ass and be the most successful rso in the world!!
thank you for the opportunity and please i look forward to hearing your home groups feedback on the red
highlighted questions...
in humbling & grateful loving service - your rcm 1
Web/IT(E.): Thank you for allowing me to serve on the Web IT subcommittee. The stats for the past 30 days are as follows: 2,265 sessions totaling out to 5,057 page-views. Out of those 2,265 sessions, 1,772 were new visitors. We continue to see a steady increase in traffic and new user engagement. The FRC board has reached out to our Subcommittee as a consultant to assist with future web design for all things regarding FRCNA and the FRC so I’m super excited about the opportunity to be of service to the Florida Region. We added a link to the homepage pointing to NA World’s IP on Social Media and Our Guiding Principles just as a friendly reminder to be mindful of how we carry the message online through social media.
