The Vision

Our vision is to make CEC clergy and laity a key part of ending abortion in America and around the world. The International Communion of the Charismatic Episcopal Church believes that life is precious and the defenseless victims of violence in our nation deserve our attention and protection.

The Mission

CEC for Life seeks to educate and motivate our culture to understand what it means to believe in the sanctity of human life.

For nearly thirty years legalized abortion has claimed millions of babies lives and has marred millions of women.

During those thirty years an ebb and tide of resistance has been present in the Christian community. We intend to employ the following means within the CEC to equip and mobilize our faithful to help end abortion throughout the world.

That banner of orthodoxy and courage has been passed on through the centuries in Christ’s Church. The early church fathers were united in their stand against abortion and infanticide and consistently led the fight to protect the innocent from death, even at great risk to themselves and their families. We believe that the hour has come for the CEC to be used by God to take a leadership role in heralding that historic banner. We believe we will serve and mobilize the Body of Christ at large to fulfill its divine commission to defend the fatherless. We have:

• Organized hundreds of national and local prayer events

• Provided many resources for CEC churches and the entire Christian community that have been effective in saving children’s lives.

• Provided extensive training for youth and adults who desire to be pro-life leaders in their churches and communities.

• Taken a leadership role in the national pro-life movement, working closely with other national pro-life groups to preserve the sanctity of life.

The Liturgy at the Time of Death for

the Preborn

The cornerstone of CEC for Life is the commitment to praying the Liturgy at the Time of Death for the Preborn. This is a service that is performed for children killed at abortion clinics. It is sometimes prayed in churches in or close proximity to clinics or hospitals where babies are dying.

The Liturgy at the Time of Death for the Preborn is a sacramental Christian service for those children who are denied any sort of affirmation by the Christian Church. They are denied Baptism, Holy Unction, Confirmation, or even a Christian burial. The very family to whom they have been given as a gift from God has abandoned them on this day and therefore, we stand as their Christian family and pronounce on the day of their death the blessing of the one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.
