Subject: ATR Weight and Balance Manual Letter #2 February 28th, 2007 Dear customer, This letter gives you some updated information on ATR’s new WBM version project. All ATR72-212A manuals at Initial Issue dated SEP06 are now released and, the ATR PackOps (CDROM including all operational manuals) dealing with 72-212A model now contains now the new WBM version. In the meantime, ATR72-212A WBM Envelope is also available online on our ATR Website: www.aerochain.com . Further to some production difficulties we’ve had to modify the provisional calendar according to the following new schedule:

ATR42-400/500 MAR 07 ATR72-200/210 JUN 07 or SEP07 ATR42-200/300/320 before end of 2007

IMPORTANT NOTE

For updating your new WBM, you have first to keep the latest Weight Report and List of Equipment for each of your aircraft from your previous WBMs. These documents have then to be inserted in Chapter 2 of your new WBM for concerned aircraft. Weight Report and List of Equipment being evolutionary, it is important to always keep the latest version and ATR has only the version at first aircraft delivery time. If you want this up-to-date information to be available from ATR (for example by CD or by a future possible customized Internet Access), don’t hesitate to send it to us and we will amend your official ATR WBM accordingly on a case-by-case basis. For cockpit set ATR will deliver these documents as usual.

Following some of your questions, we confirm that we consider inappropriate to provide you with a LENP containing the list of pages for Weight Report and List of Equipment. These two documents are very independent from the rest of the manual and, above all, they may be amended by the operator himself during aircraft life (aircraft weighing, change in equipment…). -1- Fleet management pages Page 1-00-01, “IDENTIFICATION” gives the possibility to identify clearly whether the documentation deals with the whole fleet or with only one specific aircraft. Please note that the “whole fleet” page is created at the first issue of customer library (or “biblio”) manual and then revised annually. It means that this “whole fleet” page will not be updated between two normal revisions if a new cockpit set is delivered with its own “aircraft” identification page.

-2- Fleet/Aircraft Configuration pages – Load and Trim Sheet We remind you of this important topic with some additional information: Following pages are called “configuration pages” as they are generally very specific to a given fleet or even to a given aircraft:

1-10-04 p 002 – Cargo Compartment Loading 1-40-04 p 001 – Passenger Seats Configuration 1-50-03 p 001 – Cabin Hatracks 1-50-04 p 001 – Galley 1-50-06 p 001 – Stowage 1-70-03 p 001 – Load and Trim Sheet (PAX) 4-10-01 p 001 – Load and Trim Sheet (Cargo)

Their sequence is always operator sequence and their aircraft validity is indicated on bottom right in FSN Fleet Serial Number (operator code when valid for whole fleet). When in a given fleet there is more than one aircraft configuration, specific pages are “labelled” by ‘A’, ‘B’, … to characterize easily the configurations. Example : A fleet contains four aircraft with two Galley configurations and two Stowage configurations, the rest of the configuration for configuration pages being the same.

Galley Stowage Aircraft #1 Option G1 Option S1 > A Aircraft #2 Option G2 Option S1 > B Aircraft #3 Option G1 Option S2 Aircraft #4 Option G1 Option S2 > C

We need in this case three letters A, B and C to characterize the configurations having actually three different aircraft configurations. We will have pages: 1-10-01 p 002 (no letter) 1-40-04 p 001 (no letter – fish layout is adapted being only for information) 1-50-03 p 001 (no letter) 1-50-04 p 001 A effective for aircraft #1 1-50-04 p 001 B effective for aircraft #2 (pages A and C having the same content) 1-50-04 p 001 C effective for aircraft #3-4 1-50-06 p 001 A effective for aircraft #1 1-50-06 p 001 B effective for aircraft #2 (pages A and B having the same content) 1-50-06 p 001 C effective for aircraft #3-4 1-70-03 p 001 A effective for aircraft #1 1-70-03 p 001 B effective for aircraft #2 1-70-03 p 001 C effective for aircraft #3-4 (pages A, B and C having different content with customized fish layout) This approach is especially useful for paper documentation when fleet is complex as keeping the right letter gives operator the insurance to have the right customized information for a given aircraft and only the right information. For electronic documentation we are studying a solution providing configurations’ information with filters on aircraft (subject to be followed).

-3- Further customisation If you have some specific request on further/specific customisation of information, don’t hesitate to contact us, we will study all feasible solutions on a case-by-case basis with our specialists. This may be for example, insertion of your operator ‘logo’, or deep customisation of Load and Trim Sheet… (can be subject to commercial proposal) When your current aircraft configuration is very different from the one delivered by ATR, we consider that it would be better not to provide you with inappropriate information labelling the configuration pages with “CUSTOMER DEFINITION” for example. If needed we may study the possibility to insert your “Customer Definition” data in our production data as Customer Originated Change. We would like to emphasize that ATR will deliver to every operator, one new paper version of WBM (without binders) for each aircraft (customized) and one new version of WBM (without binders) for the fleet (“biblio”). Please keep your binders and dividers and replace their contents with this new coming version. For any additional subscription needed, please contact:

In particular we thank you for your feedback on all “editorial” errors in the very first issue: they will all be corrected in the SEP07 revision for 72-212A and naturally we will take them into account for the other coming versions. We are keen on improving our product for your benefit and your feedback is quite essential to help us. Please use this e-mail address:
