ASDMARKETWEEK
The decision to exhibit at any trade show is an important decision as it involves time, money, resources and knowledge to be successful. Of course, picking the right show is also important and this ASD Market Week report details why we feel ASD is the best choice for you.
First of all, why even exhibit at a trade show at all? In the new virtual world some people feel trade shows are less important. We disagree, as the very nature and impact of a face-to-face meeting cannot and will not be replaced by virtual communications. The recent book Social- Why Our Brains Are Wired to Connect by Matthew Lieberman supports this fact. Pick it up–it’s a good read.
Typically, solid relationships and good business follows a face-to-face meeting, and that’s primarily what trade shows are all about–in person meetings with qualified business partners and customers.
SO WHY IS ASD MARKET WEEK THE BEST TRADE SHOW FOR YOU?• Overall attendance grew by 12% in 2016 - trade shows are certainly not dead, at least
not ASD!• Of these, 96% were responsible for purchasing – they had money in their pocket• New buyers represented 34% of attendees – all looking for fresh merchandise • VIP buyers increased by 45% - many of them place large orders• 92 countries were represented – it’s a worldwide show
There is more, and this report details why ASD.
HOW DO WE HELP ENSURE YOUR SUCCESS?Most importantly, we work very hard to attract buyers to ASD Market Week and if the 2016 results are an indicator, our marketing efforts are paying off. Secondly, this year we are introducing a New Exhibitor On-Boarding Program that includes educational webinars and other valuable assistance to insure your first time exhibiting will be the first of many returns. Finally, we have a white paper for you titled, The 5 Keys to Profitable Exhibiting at ASD. Just ask your sales representative about the New Exhibitor On-Boarding Program and white paper.

WHAT ASD MARKET WEEK MEANS FOR YOUR BUSINESS
“We see people here that we don’t see at any of our other shows. Our buyers tell us they come to ASD because there is such a diversity of product that they don’t see anywhere else.” - Gideon Schlessinger, CEO at International Greetings USA
“We are first time exhibitors at ASD ...last minute decision. Heard great things from other vendors. Turned out to be a successful show. Not only have we met new buyers but we have also closed some good deals. Overall, a big success and we will be back.”- Wade Whitcomb, Sales Manager at Believe It, Inc.
“As a new exhibitor from Puerto Rico, we saw really different buyers than we see at other Accessories and Gift Shows, even met with the Amazon team on the first day.”- Pedro Rivera, Forever Crystals
“This has been by far the best show in all of our 24 years in business.”- Jennifer Brawley, William Mark Corp
“We are a new exhibitor and we met more new customers and had a better show than we expected so we already signed up to for the next show.”- A+ Home Textile, Inc.
“This show has been incredible. We made over 500 contacts in the first 3 days from people looking to source new products. We will definitely be back next year for both shows.”- Chris Woody, One Global Solutions
“I did a 10K order on my first day, sold out the booth, replenished merchandise and then sold out a second time, all out of my one booth!” - Tyler Lacey, COO at Captain Amsterdam

WHY BUYERS LOVE ASD MARKET WEEK
“The ASD show gets better every time we come. ASD is a show for everyone and everything. You can find items from the ordinary to the extraordinary with many of them priced to sell quickly. If you are looking for items that will bring great margins to your bottom line this is a show you cannot afford to miss.” - Tommy Lee Brown, Saint Louis Zoo
“I have been coming to this show for 30 years and this is still the best show in the world. I’ve been to Hong Kong, all over the world and you just can’t beat ASD. I come to ASD twice a year and spend $500,000 each time, this show means so much to my business”- Dan Davis, Davis Creations
“Just wanted to say thank you again for our accommodations. With this being my first ASD Market Week it was great to see the many things it has to offer. I’m definitely excited about the many products that will be arriving at our door soon.”- Karli Stroh, Metro Director Volunteer Services/Gift Shops
“I come to ASD to stay on top of industry trends and profit from the high margin merchandise.”- Phil Thomas, Sandy’s Country Christmas

I never go to trade show seminars because the content is always things that we already know. But the ASD seminars go beyond the current status of retail business. They tap into the future retail and how it related to shared economy
