Pilbeam Theatre Named after Rockhampton’s former long-serving mayor, RBJ Pilbeam, the Pilbeam Theatre is located on the corner of Victoria Parade and Cambridge Streets, Rockhampton, overlooking the Fitzroy River. Victoria Parade, Rockhampton. 6. Nob Creek Pottery Nob Creek Pottery is a studio producing fine work in the traditional style, set in the rainforest of Byfield. Visitors can meet the artists, see the workshop and enjoy one of the largest displays of Australian and South East Asian craft work in the country. Fine examples of pottery, hand blown glass, jewellery, woodwork, sculpture, lacquer ware, paintings and other craft. Open Thurs to Mon 10am-4pm. Emu Park Art Gallery The Emu Park Art Gallery exhibits quality artwork from local artists including original paintings, pottery, sculpture, photography, mixed media work, fibre art, jewellery, cards and gifts. The Mill Gallery The Mill Gallery Yeppoon is a not- for-profit art gallery operated solely by a group of committed volunteer artists from the Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton. The Mill Gallery is a leading art gallery on the Capricorn Coast and a learning centre for local art lovers and visitors. Free Entry. Open Tues to Sun 10am -4pm. 31-35 Normanby Street, Yeppoon. Phone: 07 4939 1311. 5. The Paint Pot Gallery The Paint Pot Gallery and Gift Shop is a showcase of local artists. From quilting and pottery to painting, art and gifts, the Gallery is a proud community organisation that is sure to have something for every art lover. Free Entry. Mon to Sun 9:30am- 4:30pm. Dreamtime Cultural Centre Take a guided Aboriginal Dreamtime tour and learn more about the original occupants of the land, the Darambal Tribe. There is a replica burial site, rock art, gunyahs and traditional ceremonial sites. You will also learn how to throw a boomerang and maybe even get it to come back. Listen to the sounds of live didgeridoo playing as you walk through the 34m display of recreated sandstone caves and browse aboriginal arts and crafts. Open Mon to Fri from 9am-3:30pm.
