1.2 Hard and Software Requirements

The integration of the G120 (failsafe version) requires a PCS 7 multiproject in which a failsafe automation system (AS) is configured, including all safety settings.

The failsafe blocks used are part of the S7 F Systems Lib V1_3 and can therefore only be used in conjunction with F Systems V6.0.

Note In case you are using a SINAMICS CU120S DP F V2.1 please use the GSD file below which is available together with the document on hand on its download page.

http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/26233208

This one is adapted PROFIsafe communication by using a CRC check sum.

Open the hardware configuration and install the selected GSD file in your language.

2.2 Insert the SINAMICS G120 (failsafe version)

The PROFIBUS DP telegram contains two components. The PROFIsafe module for safety relevant communication needs to be inserted first and the SIEMENS telegram which is needed for the standard controlling of the SINAMICS.

Add the SINAMICS from the hardware catalogue to the target DP-master system "Additional Field Devices" > "Drives" > "SINAMICS" via drag and drop.

The PROFIsafe module serves for implementing the PROFIBUS communication of the safety functions of the SINAMICS G120 (failsafe version).

With double-click on the PROFIsafe module you will get the properties of this module. Go to the register "PROFIsafe".

• The parameter F_Dest_Add (PROFIsafe adress of the SINAMICS) which is assigned automatically by HW-Config needs to be set up in parameter p9810 in the SINAMICS.

• The PROFIsafe Watchdog Time (F_WD_Time) has to be minimum twice this length of the cycle time in which the safety program is processed. E.g. the safety program is processed in OB38 with a cycle time of 200 ms, PROFIsafe Watchdog Time (F_WD_Time) has to be 400 ms. (Source: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/24230051)

2.3 Assign Symbols

Assign the symbols “STO”, “SS1” and “SLS” to the failsafe inputs and outputs of the PROFIsafe module. The inputs are sending the current state of the SINAMICS referring to failsafe shutdown. Picture 2-4

The outputs are controlling active the failsafe states. Thereby the value "zero" is the safe state, i.e. by sending a high signal the drive is enabled. Picture 2-5

2.4 CFC Engineering

Forward the following steps:

1. Create a new CFC chart in a hierarchy folder and open this chart.

2. Create a new CFC chart in a hierarchy folder and open this chart. Insert the failsafe blocks "F_CH_BI" and "F_CH_BO" from the Library "S7 F Systems Lib V1_3" each three times. Pay attention to insert those blocks in the failsafe OB.

3 Parameterization of the SINAMICS via “STARTER”

The following section describes how to activate the SINAMICS G120 (failsafe version) if it has not yet been configured for PROFIsafe operation. The project steps described below are only necessary to configure the SINAMICS via the "STARTER" editor. They have no impact on your actual project.

3.1 Installation of DriveES Basic

In order to be able to configure the SINAMICS via STARTER and to use the data routing functionality of PCS 7, you have to use an extended PROFIBUS CP and install Drive ES Basic. The installation of the software package automatically installs the "STARTER" software and makes the necessary entries in the context menu.

3.2 Preparation of the project

Copy your project with the function "Save as" to a separate temporary folder, outside of your multi-project. This new project is used only for configuring the SINAMICS via STARTER.

Open the hardware configuration of the AS and delete the SINAMICS, because the GSD file entry does not support data routing.

Note By inserting the SINAMICS G120 as OM (Object Manager) Version and assigning the same address you would get an address error. Therefore you have to delete the existing one.

Page 14: Application for Process Automation

Afterwards insert a new SINAMICS G120 (failsafe version) from the hardware catalogue. Do not use the GSD file, but the OM Version, installed by DriveES, which you find it: "PROFIBUS DP > SINAMICS > SINAMICS G120"
