Appendix C. Data Contributor Acknowledgements
Many agencies and people associated with those agencies were kind enough to overcome hurdles to send the raw data that makes ISRID a valuable tool. It is a long and important list that shows ISRID is not just an academic proj-ect, but one in which the entire SAR community has participated. Regret-tably, it is impossible to thank all of the individuals who made each database possible—there are just so many of you. Know that your contributions are invaluable. I would like to express my gratitude to the agencies and folks who gave me access to the data.
First, I would like to thank the following international sources.

358 Lost Person Behavior
My data collection all started with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management. Over the years I have been greatly assisted by Mark Eggeman, Winnie Pennington, and Ralph Wilfong.
Many others have worked diligently in attempts to provide me with data, and my hope is that one day all of these efforts will prove fruitful. If you would like to discuss contributing data (see criteria on pages 16 and 17), you may contact me at [email protected].
