Anand Krishi Khamar is an integrated fresh water fish seed hatchery based at West Bengal. Our hatchery is just 70 km

away from Dumdum Airport, Kolkata and it is under district North 24 Parganas, West Bengal. We supply good quality fish

seed to all over India. We have taken required training and signed a MoU with Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture

(CIFA) for breeding of few catfishes. We have signed an agreement with National Fishery Development Board (NFDB) for

breeding of AMUR Common Carp, Jayanti Rohu and GI Catla as per there guidance. We have taken required training on

biofloc technology from Indonesia and already established biofloc set up at our hatchery. Our main motto to standardize

our fish seed rearing in biofloc tank which is now in the stage of progress.

Deshi Magur: Clarias batrachus: We supply good quality Deshi Magur fish seed.

Monosex Tilapia: We supply Monosex tilapia after using 17α-methyltestosterone to sexually undifferentiated fry of Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus.

Sarputi: Puntius sarana (Olive barb). Freshwater fish belonging to the Puntius genus of minnow family.

Singhi: Heteropneustes fossilis, Stinging catfish.

Pabda: Ompok bimaculatus: This is known as butter catfish.

AMUR COMMON CARP (Hungarian strain) : Cyprinus carpio variety haematopterous, AMUR stain has

been identified to address the disadvantages of early sexual maturation (< 6 months) and spawning in grow-out ponds before attaining marketable size of existing Common Carp.

Gulsha Tangra & Nona Tangra

Jayanti Rohu: This was developed through selective breeding of rohu, Labeo rohita from different founder

populations of North Indian rivers by ICAR-CIFA. Improved Jayanti rohu is the first genetically improved fish in India. It has shown improvement in the gain of 17 % per generation for growth trait.
