I am transferring, What should I study at LFCC
Arts and Sciences Degree Programs transfer most “cleanly” because:• The Virginia Community College System
(VCCS) has articulation agreements with most Virginia colleges and many National four-year schools.• Many of these offer guaranteed admission
into these institutions, providing certain stipulations are met.
• The degrees contain the same types of classes required of freshman and sophomore students enrolled at four-year schools.• History, Math, English, Science, Social
Science and Humanities courses

What else do I need to know about transfer?
• For some four-year majors, students may need to compete to get into the program and a specific GPA might be required
• Some 4 year majors require specific pre-requisites in order to take upper level courses when you transfer
• Students who decide where they want to transfer to earliest will be best prepared
• Students who have decided on a major of study when they transfer will be better prepared
• Students should use the transfer guide and four year school websites to research the transfer process and make decisions about what to enroll in at LFCC
