Arts and Sciences Degree Programs transfer most “cleanly” because:• The Virginia Community College System

(VCCS) has articulation agreements with most Virginia colleges and many National four-year schools.• Many of these offer guaranteed admission

into these institutions, providing certain stipulations are met.

• The degrees contain the same types of classes required of freshman and sophomore students enrolled at four-year schools.• History, Math, English, Science, Social

Science and Humanities courses

• For some four-year majors, students may need to compete to get into the program and a specific GPA might be required

• Some 4 year majors require specific pre-requisites in order to take upper level courses when you transfer

• Students who decide where they want to transfer to earliest will be best prepared

• Students who have decided on a major of study when they transfer will be better prepared

• Students should use the transfer guide and four year school websites to research the transfer process and make decisions about what to enroll in at LFCC
